Osage Nation WIC

Well, they got rid of the wicked witch of the Osage. Yes, the old director is gone. They have a new director now who is much better. For many years, Osage WIC has been the only WIC provider in the 3rd largest county in the U.S. I have personally helped them grow from a very non-computerized program to a state of the art WIC provider, with numerous sites around Osage county, OK. You may feel my opinion may be a little biased (because I work for the Osage Nation), but really, these ladies work hard and they really care about WIC and all of the good things that come from it. Keep up the good work!

I’m not sure the ladys name as she didn’t say it but she’s over the applications. She was rude and hateful and extremely unhelpful. My son is losing weight and the formula he hasn’t had a reaction to was called in by his pediatrician and another wic office couldn’t so I was advised to call others. I missed her call so I called back and said I missed a call about my online application and she said “what about it” and I said I don’t know no information other than that was left and she said yeah so if you filled the application out online we will call you and i said you did and she said what’s your kids name I told her and she said yeah who are you with now and I told her and she told me they do similac and I said well actually his doctor will send in paperwork for the one he needs and she said what is it I told her and she said nope. I said even with the paperwork from his doctor and she said nope I don’t know anybody in the state that will do it. It’s enfamil and I know they can they just won’t fill out the form to do it. So I said okay well then I’ll have to make a call then and she said so I’m just going to void this application and I said I guess if you can’t accept what he needs and she said alright bye bye. It’s time to find a new job if you can’t even be polite and not have an attitude.

This main wic office location has inexperienced staff who tells parents inaccurate information that significantly impacts their benefits. Also, inexperienced employee is unqualified to transfer phone calls. She placed me on hold for another co-worker in same job position instead putting the parent in touch with the supervisor, as requested. Unhelpful, unmotivated and unapologetic staff members who couldn't care less about the client's well being or circumstances. Will never use this organization again because of my family's horrific customer service experience with this wic office.
