Fresh Start Restaurant

This was a complete surprise! We had the beef tips, ribs, and the combo fish plate. All were excellent -- we didn't have room for dessert (which nonetheless looked great!)! Service was great; Cheyenne did a fantastic job. Don't be deceived: the setting is humble, but the food is amazing (try the mac & cheese!). I can't wait to go back and bring friends!

I have been coming to Fresh Start almost weekly and have recommended to eat here to co-workers and friends. This restaurant is now a favorite spot for many people who have tried it. Food is fantastic as ever! The different recipes for the specials have so much thought put into them and always end up amazing and full of flavor you cannot find anywhere else!! I do not eat anywhere else!

Found a new favorite in Martin! Food is excellent, service is great, and quick. Big portions, quality food at a good price!! Ashlee had a prime rib dip sandwich, and I had the "steak bomb" sandwich and it was all great. Down to the fries. Will definitely be back!!

Google maps has bad directions but stay persistent you will not be disappointed. It was amazing. Dropped our daughter off at UTM we will definitely be back over the next four years.

Been coming out here for about two years now and I've got to say I've never had anything I didn't like here! The crab cakes and absolutely phenomenal and the cat fish is to die for! Will be coming back as much as I can!
PS have to try the Mac and cheese you will not regret!

First, the food was delicious. The portions are very generous for the price. There is an amazing selection of deserts. The canoli, which is filled to order, took me back to the Italian bakeries we had back home in New York. And the staff was made the experience that much better. They are extremely friendly, and attentive. My family will definitely be going back!

Our mom was at Cane Creek for post hip surgery and my brother and I ate there. They have amazing food, the sirloin tips and brisket were so good. The owners could not be nicer. If you want 5 star food in zmartin this is the place. Simply amazing!

This restaurant is fantastic. The food always tastes and smells freshly prepared. I've never experienced a more home cooked meal than I have at this restaurant, which sounds ridiculous to say out loud. There's an added bonus that Utm students normally get a free desert from the best bakery in West Tennessee. If you want some of the best food you've ever had, I would come here.

Wonderful mom and pop place. Everything from scratch...form healthy to smkoked to fried and desserts.

I have been coming to the area for 12 years. Wish I had found them sooner.

The food is wonderful, and the pastries are to die for!!!!!! We had the brisket and prime rib sandwich. They are the best we've had anywhere in the Martin area!
The owners are from Boston, and have been in the restaurant many years. This is not affiliated with the old Damron's at all. They just bought the building. This is more than just BBQ. Very clean and welcoming, with wonderful food.

Accidentally stumbled into this wonderful establishment. Clean, owners/staff happy, friendly, busy serving the happy,relaxed customers. Prices a little high,But so worth it . I ordered the steak bomb and sweet tea. The tea made just right!not too sweet,not too bitter. The sandwich was perfect! The meat was soft,easy to chew (really just melted in my mouth),the onions, peppers,mushrooms were well cooked,right color,soft &caramelized like they should be. Bread fresh,lightly toasted. Can't wait to go back!

We tried Fresh Start because of the reviews we read. Everything was GREAT and the homemade gingerbread cookies are a real treat. If you’re in the area, stop by and see this husband and wife team and let them cook you up something good. You won’t be sorry!!!

This place is great. They have fresh sweets daily, excellent bbq, and fresh ground meat for burgers. The staff is friendly and you never leave hungry. They have the best gingerbread men at Christmas! I recommend the pulled pork lunch plate or the Burger Time burger.

George and Diane (yes, they introduced themselves) decided to open just for us on Labor Day because we were going to be in town to celebrate a birthday. George was to cater an event this morning and decided to open for us when we called to see if they would be available to host our party.

We've been here a couple of times now and the food gets better and better. If you're looking for great food that is prepared from scratch and lovingly served, this is the place.

Portions are pretty massive. And George offers an interesting take on traditional foods, such as his country fried prime rib. Yes, you read that right.

He also does wonders with barbecued pork and chicken. Come for the steak tips and stay for the roast turkey club sandwich. They also have great baked goods.

Now, this is not fine dining. You eat on disposable plates with plastic cutlery unless you get the steak. Then you get the real eating tools. :-)

The best part of the meal is the fact that you were treated like family. By the time we left, we felt like we had met long lost cousins -- who can really cook!!

You won’t be drawn for the ambiance but I bet you will LOVE the food. The inside of the restaurant is nothing to write home about, just small town restaurant style. The food is fantastic. Desserts, entrees, and salads have all been good. Highly recommended!

Amazing beef tips and ribs. It's delicious and the homemade cheesecake is out of this world. We'll be visiting here on a regular basis. And on top of great food, the people are super nice!

The best potato soup I ever had with their grilled cheese sandwich it's like heaven. You should try. 5 starts for that 😍😊
