Mabank Cafe

We were visiting from Alabama. The catfish plate was plenty of pieces of fish for me. My husband and dad both had the all you can eat catfish and we were all please. The best catfish that I have had in long time! I'd say, best catfish in the south! The service was great.

Truly delicious food plus they serve breakfast all day. April was our waitress and she was the best. Plus they were Clean. I had chicken fried steak/gravy, fried orka and delicious sweet potato fries.
My friend had the breakfast but will try the Belgium Waffles next time. Nothing was over cooked, everything was perfect.

This is just a little hometown restaurant . The food was very good. The cook actually knows how to cook an over medium egg to perfection. The service was excellent. It was so good, we took ten people back for lunch. You should give this place a try. We loved it.

Probably the best place for breakfast in Maybank/Gunbarrel. Friendly staff. Good food. Buffet wasn't open when we went. Did was delicious. Lost a star for not asking how my wife likes her bacon, or warm syrup. Still a great place to eat though.

We had a traditional recbreakfast instead of the buffet Because I am not a scrambled egg person.
The food was excellent and cooked to order.
The servers were very nice.
Even though they were extremely Busy.

We love this Cafe. Everyone there is so ni e and we have never been served bad food, but I know if we didn't like something they would be glad to change it or refund it

Excellent, family-owned restaurant serving breakfast buffet complete with waffles and some of the best breakfast meats anywhere. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast!

The food here has been good every time I have been here about 3 times. Our waitress did a great job and very polite. Prices are good and food and service are good what more could you ask for I'll be back.

Love this place and the people who own it! Home town restaurant with great food and where everyone is treated like family. The portion size is large. This is a place you would want to make a regular stop when in town. I recommend you giving it a try!

Every time we go to this restaurant we are always welcomed by the staff and always treated with the friendly service and the staff are always great to see that we are not wanting for anything

Quick stop during a trip back home. Ordered pops burger with fries. Man! Oh man.. was I in for a surprise when this bad boy came out the kitchen. Double meat, bacon, pepperjack cheese, grill onion too much to mention along side some home made cut fries and ice tea to go with it. That hold me up till dinner. Even my buddy was like "I should've got that burger" lol. Our waitress was kind, and in good spirits. Overall I really liked this little cafe. If I am ever in town would definitely stop by.

Breakfast was good, waitress was friendly ... loved that they would cook eggs fresh for you!! Was very old school but cozy feel!

I love their shrimp basket, they have a nice menu with a little of something for everyone. The cafe has been remodeled and the food is still yummy, the prices are not to high. It's the perfect place for families or a couple or just yourself. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. They also sell local honey at a decent price.

After a 16-hr. fast, my fiancée and I visited and enjoyed a much-needed southern breakfast, chicken fried steak and eggs + biscuits and gravy. Everyone there was incredibly nice too. We will definitely be back!
