Toured the State Park which is a battleground and sacred ground for the deceased settlers. The mansion on the property and the park spokesperson were awesome. There were so many artifacts and pictures and other items form that period of time and stories of some of the interesting historical figures of the day.

Small but extremely well kept park where the Kanawha River meets the Ohio in Point Pleasant, WV. Museum is free to explore, the main monument is impressive and the petroglyph is pretty cool, plus there are a few other interesting monuments and nice walkway on the river depicting battle scenes. Huge trees on site, if you are into large and lovely trees 🌳.

Very interesting history here. Lots of facts about the battle and the people who were involved and fought in it. The views of the rivers and bridges are stunning. The monument and log cabin are definitely worth stopping by to check out.

Very cool. The smallest state park in WV. Beautiful setting where the Kanawha and Ohio rivers come together. There is a small picnic area and a very small museum. There is an 84' obelisk commemorating the Battle of Point Pleasant in 1774.

Beautiful views on such historical grounds. The mansion is maintained so well. The workers are very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back again if in the area. I didn't know it could be accessed by parking in town and walking also the river side. There is a huge, beautiful mural along the way to the park. And such pretty views. Statues along the way. It's a definite thing to see if going to the park, too.

This was such an awesome experience. So many amazing things to see here. The monuments and all the resting places of the soldiers create such a surreal and unique experience. Cornstalks memorial is here as well. A must visit if you are anywhere close to the area. The Mothman is close by and the little town is just so awesome to visit.

I really enjoyed this small, but informative park. The museum is stuffed full of artifacts from various points in history. I was really amazed at how many significant events took place here. The local residents I spoke with have a lot of pride in their heritage. The view of the convergence is absolutely beautiful.

I never have gotten to see so much Indian vs early settler history. The mansion is huge and so much too see on the grounds. It was a beautiful memorial day 😍 definitely a great stop.

We almost missed going down to the park, but so glad we decided to stop there. WOW! So many different things going on as far as historical markers and even a couple of graves! The Mansion was just packed full of historical items as well. Great stop! We did a full review of this location on our website and YouTube channel.

I didn’t do my homework before arriving here so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We got here from Houston and I have to say that this is a beautiful little park! We had a nice visit, walked over to the Mothman Museum, got some ice cream in a furniture store, went to a river festival where a crazy rainstorm popped up and drenched us. Coming from Houston where it’s about 103 degrees, I enjoyed the cold rain.

Great little park with informative statues and plaques. The hidden gem is a walkway along the river toward town. The entrance is somewhat hidden behind a bathroom at the back of the park.

This is a small state park but it's really quaint. There is a little walking path and a swing that looks out at the two rivers. There isn't really a parking lot so street parking is the way to go. Be careful not to park in spots reserved for the small housing area next door. This is a good stop if you are on a long road trip and looking for a scenic view.

Gorgeous breezy park on the confluence of the Ohio and Kanawha rivers where you can sit and watch barges. Has interesting historical monuments and accounts of battles held near there. It is down the street from the mothman statue, and near the riverwalk. A lovely, dreamy place to be in Pt. Pleasant. Easy to park.
