1910 State Hotel

The 1910 hotel was a great experience! The staff were super accommodating and helpful. The room itself was really clean. The bed was comfy and even though my room was next to highway I didn’t really hear the cars coming by. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

This is an amazing gem owned by an amazing family anyone wanting to feel the old time sensation of a hotel should stay here. Clean room and hotel all the way through with great amnesties such as pool table and shuffle board just all around great.

Located kitty corner from courthouse to the northwest. Very comfortable bed. Rear corner unit with Windows do the North and the east. Very quiet. Was told by the proprietor that I am the only guests staying here tonight. Prospective employer paid over $214 for one night. This historic hotel is listed for sale.

We came to Sterling City for a weekend and really enjoyed our stay. We loved the 1910 feel downstairs. The pool table was an awesome amenity. The kitchen was also great! The owner was so nice and helpful. We definitely recommend!!!

So I travel for business and usually stay at ihg or Hilton hotels. But it just becomes so repetitive after a while so I decided to try something different for a week. I'm so glad I did.

I was so impressed with how well they remodeled. It was almost like a perfect mix of old and new. Plumbing all worked perfectly and water pressure was great 👍. Bed was very comfortable and housekeeping was so good at their jobs. Honestly, I feel the rooms were cleaner than high dollar chain hotels.

They have a laundromat which works great, a game room, a kitchen and a big screen TV in the shared area downstairs. Upstairs is where all the rooms are. I was in 201 which is at the front of the building. At no fault of the hotel management, there is quite a bit of noise when semi trucks don't follow the speed limit in town. I slept fine but if you are a lite sleeper, I recommend asking for a room not in the front.

Give this place a go even if it's for one night or a couple weeks, you won't regret it. The management is so friendly and treat you as family. Call ahead to make reservations.

Well-maintained hotel with awesome staff and lots of history. I stayed here for work and will definitely be returning if I am back in the area. The kitchen is a great amenity although I was the only person I saw using it during my stay.

I have stayed at quite a few hotels and Airbnb's. I have to say the 1910 State Hotel has been uniquely one of my favorites. The common areas have so much character that you don't see in modern establishments. The staff is so helpful and accommodating. I cannot thank the 1910 State Hotel enough for a quiet peaceful evening.

This place was available when i came into town on a Tuesday night and it's been an interesting stay. Very comfortable and accommodating, and the owners are just nice people. The building is creepy but in a good way! It's old and lovely. I'd stay here again on my way from Roswell to Austin. In a heartbeat.

This was a wonderful stay. The rooms are clean and the staff made every day feel like home. The proprietor Nikki made sure everything was perfect. I could not be happier, will definitely come back. Thank you, Nikki and Eddy, for making us welcome.

Very nicely renovated, very old hotel. Amy is super sweet. I would certainly stay here again but I would avoid room 201. The room is nice and clean and very well-appointed and smells good. Unfortunately it is in the front of the building and there is a lot of heavy truck traffic on the road in front of its big window. if you don't mind that and you like an extremely firm bed then this would be the room for you

Amazing historical hotel, with the most fantastic people.

I normally don’t write reviews, but in this case I am compelled.
If you are tired of the chain hotels, want a quaint, clean, quite place for a week or three and are working in the sterling city area. Save yourself the hour commute from San Angelo.
Nikki welcomes you, gives you a tour of early 20th century hotel complete with kitchen privileges and rec room.
Two washer and driers on site for guest laundry. WIFI is great.
Three weeks, some nights it was just me in this grand old hotel. And no I didn’t see or hear the ghost.

We really enjoyed our stay here, upon entering you see the why it has the name 1910 State Hotel very old timey feeling downstairs, which my child thought was so cool. The room was updated and cozy. The staff are friendly and cost is reasonable. If you are passing through and need a place to stay this is your spot.

I work on the road so a good hotel is always a priority to me. This hotel is by far my favorite I've ever stayed at for business purposes. The staff is exceptional and go way out of there way to accommodate you! I highly recommend it to any and all.

I stayed in room 201. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and every aspect (floors, walls, tub, sink) of the hotel was very clean. I was pleasantly impressed I am giving 5 stars to Mrs. Reed, her family and staff for what they have done to preserve the ol' hotel. They have updated it and yet maintain it's original flavor.
For breakfast, I was recommended to go to Rangel's, a yellow building east of the hotel. the on the left... I am giving Rangel's, 5 stars too, and don't let the size of the building fool ya... my breakfast was perfectly done and I really liked the way they cook the potatoes, they were awesome! It's a definitely a "Go there again" place! :-)

Wonderful place and Mrs. Nikki is an absolute sweetheart. She said she's never seen any ghosts but that didn't stop us from searching this beautiful eerie place at night.

This place really feels like home away from home iv stayed in a lot of hotels since I travel a lot. miss Nikki is the sweetest lady iv ever meet great hospitality the rooms a real nice I hope on day I can stay there again great experience!.
