Its a beautiful place with great mountain views and amazing sunsets! Very relaxing and romantic. We walked a lot, there is a restaurant but it's not open, only for special events. Closes town its a drive of 20-40 minutes thru very steep mountsins. There is a microwave and mini fridge, so be prepare to grill or bring foods accordingly. We stay four nights, and it was a lot of hiking to reach the end or peak of each trail. Great camping spots so will come again and camp.

Very nice we had a great time.
Be prepared for the drive in as it's very windy and steep.

Beautiful and serene mountain setting. The hotel itself is older, and in need of renovation, but the a/c is cold and the rooms are clean! The view from the pool is stunning. It is about 30 mins to the nearest restaurant, so either bring your own food or prepare accordingly! Would recommend!

The sights, camp grounds, and trails are beautiful, worthwhile, and well maintained. I highly recommend everyone to go. Make sure you visit the Bald Rock cliff. This park is also free to active duty Soldiers. I really appreciated that. 🙏🏾

Had a lovely getaway to nature, with enough amenities to make it comfortable. Clean room at the lodge, friendly and helpful staff, Quiet, peaceful, and scenic experience.

We had a deluxe cabin. Beautiful scenery and the leaf colors were amazing.

This is a very relaxing place, stayed in the upper campground. The views are breath taking, many trails to hike. We did have a couple of days of rain and clouds (we were in the clouds), but still was worth the wait for the skies to clear. We was cut off from most modern forms of technology, which made it nice and relaxing not having to worry about being attached to the phone.

I would highly recommend this State Park as a location or destination to stay.

My favorite close to home vacation place. Everyone is always so nice and accommodating. Rooms are clean and nice. Pool and restaurant are awesome and have the most spectacular views. Great hiking. Love the little general store and Native American artifact museum. Great little lake with floating dock, restrooms, and playground. Grills everywhere to cook out.

Beautiful as always! The improvements are amazing. Could have spent hours in the store browsing. (bubble gum cigars and rock candy WOW) Haven't seen those in years! The views are so serene & calming. Can't wait to visit the museum!

The views are breathtaking! We stayed in a pretty-friendly room with our little dog. The floor was tiled and the room was clean, but outdated. No WiFi, but we did have a phone, basic cable, coffee maker, hair dryer, comfy beds, and nice linens. The pool is very nice! The only good thing I can say about the restaurant is that it has an amazing view. I can't recommend the food, but we did enjoy watching the fog dissipate while we ate breakfast. The CCC Museum and tower are interesting. The boardwalk to Bald Rock is easy to walk on has a lovely view. We will be back.

We are a part of an annual conference held here in the lodge and it is marvellous. The staff always takes such good care of us. I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a medium sized conference venue, wedding, retreat or even just a weekend family getaway in one of the smaller spaces. Make sure you climb the tower! The view is breathtaking.

This is a very secluded relaxing place. We are tent camping and having a good time. Like I stated earlier this is secluded. With that being said take into account that means only certain areas have cell service and internet service. We have done some hiking and swimming in the pool. They also have a lake that is also secluded but I do not know any details. All we have done at the lake is drive by. This is the highest point in the state of Alabama. It is about a 20 or 30 minutes drive south of Interstate 20. I believe the exit number is 191 but do not hold me to that. The park has a small general store for some of your camping needs. The next nearest store that I know of is about 20 miles away. So come prepared for your stay but most of all enjoy yourself.

I wish I would have been able to stay forever. The campsites were clean, private, quiet and close to trails. No matter which way you look, the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. The mosquitoes and gnats are a little thick, but they live there 😉. OFF obviously works, but for gnats I recommend Amber Romance by Victoria Secret. (Fisherman's secret). Well worth the trip!

We ride our bikes (motorcycles) to the park and hang out for a bit just below the entrance. Shoot the breeze, talk about bikes like these two, purchase stuff from the very nice store, and use their facilities. Beautiful ride up one side and down the other.

Arrived at 5 PM. And checked into a handicap equipped cabin. It was nicer than most upscale motels. Park restaurant was being remodeled so only had a very limited menu. Beautiful sunset from a small park next to the restaurant. Price was very reasonable.

Beautiful views. Our cabin was well equipped and perfect for 4 people. The restaurant was well priced and had a fantastic staff. The pool and the whole park were very clean. Cant wait to go back.

We stayed at the semi-primitive campground and had a great time. They have a general store at the entrance that has information about the trails, and things you may need that were forgotten. (we had to buy some firewood at $7 a bundle). They also have a motel with a pool, and a very nice restaurant that overlooks the mountain range. They constantly have patrol officers out to make sure no one messes with your stuff, so i felt pretty comfortable leaving my campsite to hit the trails in the Talledega National Forest down the road. They also have a really cool observation tower and some nice picnic pavillions. At $19 a night, i definitely would recommend a visit.

It's going to be really sad if The Vista Cliffside Restaurant totally closes down at the end of November 2021! Because they are saying lack of employees! But I believe that it needs some new owners that are visionaries for the future of this restaurant and more on Cheaha Mountain State Park in Talladega Alabama and covering at least 5+ counties! Hopefully we can find an entrepreneur that would be the perfect fit for this restaurant and this areas! Everyone Be Blessed!
