Fantastically run, family friendly ski resort - where the friendliness of the staff really stands out, especially the lift operators! Some wonderful lodging options, well groomed runs and a great setting - all at a very good price!

My opinion of this place in the past.....it was not my favorite, but since blackjack and indianhead are under new ownership, and are upity upity now. This IS the place to be. Atmosphere is inviting and chill. The people are awesome and the lodge is rustic. Bloody was delicious the hill has fast, slow, and intermediate options. Its pretty sweet here.

Very nice place to ski. The lodge and dining areas are quite clean. I have never had an issue with the staff here; they are super friendly whether they are at the front desk or they are in the kitchen. A variety of trails exist here for those learning or experienced on the slopes. My only wish is that I could be here more often. =)

Had good snow late season. All the staff were great. Very polite from the cafeteria to ski patrol to lift operators. During my stay I didn't run into one bad attitude. Runs were groomed well from top to bottom. Had fresh snow coming down that added to everything. Beautiful scenery and great runs.

Visiting all three hills in the area, Powderhorn is the nicest facility. Lunch was quite a bit cheaper than the other two. Only truly ski in/out lodging in the area. Some of the runs are a little flat for me but the glade runs on the right side of the mountain were pretty fun. Will definitely be back. Would be nice if they had winter camping spots. Was nice we could ski right to the parking lot and got lucky with a front spot for the van.

Everything is great! The mountain, the lodging, the food, the people are all great! My only disappointment would be that they close at dark. I wish they had lights, night skiing, and bars open later.

Excellent ski resort..our family loved it here! My grandkids were both first time 🎿 skiing and the staff here was accommodating slowing the lift as they got on and off, making sure the kids were taken care of..the place was perfect for beginners to advanced skiing. A food option was nice to have...and a gift shop for memories to take home.

Nice outdoor firepit. Outdoor bar. Beer was $6 for a top shelf can which I'm good with! We didn't ski but it was fun to hang out; loved it. We do skis and watch how nice the hills were to ski on while enjoying our cocktails by the warm fire pit. Other people skiing said it was great!

We ski at Powderhorn every year. We had great weather and the runs were awesome. They groom really well. We skied 2 days & never got bored. They were a little understaffed at the bar area, but they were friendly and did their best. It's a beautiful lodge.

Big Powderhorn Mountain is a great, family ski area. The lodge is beautiful, our servers were so friendly and accommodating, the upstairs food menu is awesome and actually provides good value as far as ski food, and you can walk around with your boots off without feeling gross, because it's very clean and well-kept.

We stayed at a cabin right across from the lodge with the Big Powderhorn Lodging Association (seemingly not affiliated with the resort) and they were SPECTACULAR hosts. I highly recommend staying with BPLA.

The gift shop was closed the day we visited, but we've found very nice items there in the past; spending over $300 in there last year.

We tried renting a Wine Hut, but they were sold out that day. We'll ask earlier next year.

The lift operators are very nice, and respectful to the kids. But, the chairlift chairs are WAY too high. The loading height, and center-post layout makes it difficult to help a small child. Snowriver's chairs are probably 4-inches lower, which the kids can handle.

The layout of the hill is a challenge for us because we get separated easily, but still offers a fun ski day.

Beautiful day with many runs with varying terrain for all. The lift rental line is long so plan accordingly. The hill absorbs people well so you won't feel crowded.

Love Big Powderhorn! As a skier I've been coming here my whole life and it's easily my favorite place in the area. Beautiful lodge, fun runs that you can mix and match throughout the day. Always a pleasure to ski here.

I haven't been here since I was a girl, and it was as fun as I remembered. It was the first time we took my kids skiing and the instructors were AMAZING! The chairlift crew was also super accommodating as they learned to use the chairlift as well. All around great experience.

LOVE to ski at Big Powderhorn Mountain! Much more interesting than others because of the variety of runs with their compound curves... much better than just going straight up and down. Also allows for skiers of different skill levels to take alternate runs but be able to meet up at the same lift. Big Powderhorn is a beautiful place with outstanding views from the mountain. Also, there is a wide variety of lodging types and price points on and around the mountain. Lodging info can be found on the mountain website and ALSO through the BPLA and Airbnb.

Been coming to Big Powderhorn for about 30 years now, first with big trips from our company, now with dad's & kids trips. Big Powderhorn has something for everyone, young to old, singles to family trips. The skiing is best in Midwest, very affordable, and the people who work here are GREAT! Super nice, no attitude, they really appreciate your business. It's beautiful up here when they're getting their annual 300 inches of powder. Lodging is nice, there's a bar at the base, and if you need more excitement, you can always drive 10 minutes into Hurley for the nightlife. Hope to keep coming to BP ski resort for many more years.

I like running the chalets out here better than a hotel room especially if you're doing a family gathering it works really good because they can sleep up to 18 to 24 people and some of the chalets The one we're running today is called the Starwood sleeping up to 10 people real roomy clean and we're really enjoying this there's six of us in this unit at the time

Thank you for being part of the Indy pass. My girls and I skied today and had an awesome time. They had the best lifties that we have ever had. We hope to visit again next season.

Crab-topped haddock at Caribou Lodge was great! Wish they could be open all year.
