Hick's Outdoors

My wife is wanting to get into bow hunting. Bear had a really good deal on the Karnage bow on their website so she grabbed one. It's a good entry level bow, nothing crazy. We took it up to Hicks on a Saturday morning looking to get the bow adjusted for her. My dad & I have been going to Hicks for years but it had been awhile and I don't know anyone that works there now. She had never shot a bow much less pulled back a bow so I was a bit tentative and worried about her first experience. I believe the workers name was Dom. Younger fella. He was very good. He acknowledged her skill level really well & even suggested putting a kisser on her string to help with her anchor point. He had her shoot a few times to adjust her peep sight and he was very patient and informative. Got her draw length adjusted and put the weight way down so she can practice without any strain or fatigue. She needed arrows and Dom picked some out for her and set them up for us. He helped us with what type/size release would be good for her. I had a few other questions and he answered them for me. I read a few other reviews sorta knocking Hicks for low quality service but I was happy with my experience and I'm glad my wife had a good first impression on how the process works 👍

I've done business with many LGS (Local gun stores) and I've been very impressed over the years how hick s does business. They have mostly everything for hunting, fishing, and camping you could ever need. Butches barber shop is also located onsite, and what a great addition. Lisa is definitely my favorite.

I've been shopping at Hick's for 15 plus years now. I've never had a single problem or issue with anything or anyone at Hick's outdoor. They are very helpful and knowledgeable with anything I've had Inquired about. They are my first stop for anything I would need for the outdoors. It's pretty much a mom and pop own store. Love the place

I came in to pickup a firearm I purchased online. This was probably the quickest and friendliest experience I've ever had as far as firearms purchases go. The associate was friendly and explained clearly what I needed to fill out and what information I needed. I asked about accessories for a handgun that I already own. Even though they don't carry anything in the store for it he was knowledgeable and suggested a similar size and caliber option that might be better suited for my needs.
The associate at the checkout was also friendly and efficient.
All of the employees were smiling and seemed to actually enjoy helping their customers.
I'm sure I'll be shopping here again in the future.

We love this store. My son favorite place to get his haircut. Every 5 weeks. We absolutely love the staff and the barbershop ladies are so kind and sweet!! Owner is in her often He is so kind as well.

Nice store great product and huge selections

Place is great. People are very friendly. I was going on a fishing trip and was leaving Friday night. My friends and I got there as they were closing. The gate was all ready pulled across the door. I politely asked to grab certain things and they opened up and let the three of us in to shop and grab the things we needed. This place is awesome and will never go anywhere else. It's a must check out!

Great deals on rods & reels. Great selection! Not out of stock like Bass pro shops & big box stores. Got my GF a 500 size spinning reel for $24.99 & told her to take her brand new reel back to Meijer. Quality was a lot better for the same price.

This place has everything you need to satisfy your inner hunter/fisherman. Great service and knowledgeable staff
