🏕🏕🏕🏕🏕 These must be the best public campsites in Michigan. Number 91 is steps from sandy crescent beach. A short path through the dunes and you are on the sand Sign up early as spaces go fast. Others are on a water inlet. Facilities are modern and clean. Group fire pit. Ice and firewood available. Lakeside living for all. Oh, but that beach !

Great camp site for fifth weels or tents. There are also cabins and fun looking domes.
If you get a camp site along the swamp, you'll hear many frogs. The night sky is really amazing, since you're in the thumb and not surrounded by lights, the stars really shine.

One of our favorite State campgrounds! We stayed on site 28 for the week of July 2-8. Campsites are electric only and each is a different size, but site 28 was large and roomy and right across from the water spigot. It was right next to a set of stairs that took you down to the beach.
The grounds keepers keep both the campsites and beach area clean and tidy. And all the staff is friendly and helpful. But we especially want to say thank you to Melanie, Emily and Jeannie. These women were the cleaning angels! Between the partyers on the week of the 4th and the swarms of bugs that descended each night on every surface in the bathrooms, these ladies had a huge job to undertake. They diligently cleaned both bathrooms 2-3 times a day to make sure things were as clean as possible for the campers. Thank you SOOO much!
We love the camp beach especially because you can walk down to the mouth of the Pinnebog river from the campground. Swimming is great because it stays shallow enough for a while so everyone can enjoy the water. We were able to walk our dogs on the beach and they loved it. The campground is close enough to Port Austin to walk the breakwater and for great food and shopping, especially the farmer's market on Sat. You can also drive into Caseville for more shopping and fishing.

Only stayed one night. Would have liked to stay longer. Great spot. Electric only but have areas to fill up water and a dump station. No wifi. The camp sites are quite wonderful. Stayed in 99A. That is by the marsh. Luckily no bugs. Took a walk around. If I were to stay again, spots 89, 78, 70, 82 or 84 would be my first choices with a backdrop of Lake Huron. They even have hammock sites and two geodesic domes.

Mens/womens bathrooms as well as hot showers available here.

Stayed at campsite 126, which is one away from a corner spot, nice spot to camp and has a view of the bathrooms. Close enough to walk there, far enough that you don't smell anything. 1-2 minute walk to the beach from this campsite (most campsites are about this far from the beach). There is a power hookup at each campsite as well, and you can park your car at your campsite instead of parking further and walking your things to the site.

Good experience and would definitely camp here again. There is a dark sky viewing deck to see the stars nearby, it was closed when we went but would recommend checking that out if possible. Can also see some stars from the beach at night (benches are set up to sit on and enjoy the view).

If you're lucky enough to score a beach site- you'll be in heaven. We love it so much though they are a bit small

Awesome state park. One of my favorites. Smaller compared to others we've been to. Beach is great. I'm not a fan of the upper level sites, but the lower ones are fantastic, especially if you can get one on the water. Book ASAP as they full up fast.

Beautiful setting right on the Bay. Plenty of trees for shade. Nice paved roads. Every site has electric and a very nice fire pit. Showers were always clean. The sanitation station was convenient. Park employees were very pleasant.
