802 Sno Use

Fantastic and clean place to go year round, whether it's for a guys weekend or the whole family. Tons to see and do in the area.

Cool fireplace! Decent beds, slept well. Bathrooms have good setup. Two sinks in one of the BR's make it easy for two people to get ready at once. Not super clean. Weird living room set up with the TV though, and the cable is fuzzy. Small kitchen/dining area, and no dishwasher. Definitely could not fit 12 people like they advertise it to. We stayed just 4 people but could probably fit 6 comfortably too. Overall enjoyed our stay though.

Stayed for three nights with four adults five kids. That was probably the maximum amount of people you'd want in there. It would've been a decent stay except it was filthy.

It was questionable whether one of the showers and toilets was cleaned at all, the couches were horrifyingly dingy and filled with other peoples socks and trash, and we had to vacuum up hundreds of dead flies upon arrival. They sheets and towels were, thankfully, very clean.

We noticed a few safety issues involving nails coming through the roof and sticking out of trim that was removed and on the floor.

All in all it's not a bad space. It could just use some deep cleaning and updating. It was disappointing the front deck had no chairs or furniture whatsoever. The tv placement in the corner by the dining table is a little awkward and that whole space is a little crowded, but it was manageable.

The location is decent with a view of the hill, although there's a dilapidated chalet sitting in an unkempt yard next door. We did use the firepit, although we had to haul out kitchen chairs to sit on.

The price is right and it's pet friendly so if you decided to go for it bring your own cleaning supplies, including a can of Lysol for the couches, and maybe a chair for outside.

I did speak with someone at the BPLA and send pictures of the issues after our stay, so hopefully things improve a bit. There was no offer to make anything right by refunding some of our money, but as someone who lived in the area for many years I know that it has it's own special set of economic challenges especially during these times, so I didn't push it. I just hope the BPLA can find away to develop some standards for the houses in the association and restore the area to it's former glory.
