We came to the area for a family reunion, and our locally-stationed family members recommended the park as a potential place to camp. We reserved one of the rustic sites for 2 nights. They also have a lot of camper/RV Sites.

What a blast! Our site was beautiful: located RIGHT on the river. There were no trees on the site itself, so you’ll want a canopy for shade if camping in the heat of summer. We were camping in September, and the weather was perfect.

Easy to get our parking pass and to get set up. The premises are well maintained, the staff is friendly, and they clearly plan events that are family/community friendly (while we were there they hosted a haunted house, a chili cook-off, a pumpkin bowling contest, a site-decorating contest…. It was eventful!

I have a medical challenge that requires easy access to a working restroom, and I found the trek to and from our campsite to be reasonable and well-lit at night. There were 2 roomy shower stalls (1 handicap accessible) and plenty of sinks/bathroom stalls (1 handicap accessible) in the ladies’ section of the bathroom.

They have wood available for site fire pits at $5/bundle (as of 2023).

I definitely recommend this park/campsite!

Power and water at the campsites, wood and snacks available, very close to stores but feels lost in the woods.

Management and staff are outstanding.

Great camping spot for the whole family. Whether you want to rough it or have a beautiful camper! Swimming, park, river to fish even! Rustic sites are beautiful! I will be going again soon!

Had a very pleasant stay here. Admittedly, I really only spent nights here and used it as a launching point to see other sights in the area. I didn’t use much of the parks facilities, but what I used and saw were well maintained. Restrooms were plentiful, and clean. I’ve never had the pleasure of using a rain water shower head at a campground before! What a treat! Showers were hot enough (wish they’d do away with the push button feature and just let us select water temp, though.).

I checked in late and there was no campground map available, and no signage to show where my site was. Had to do a little driving around to find it. But that’s my only negative.

I’d stay again, and hopefully be able to enjoy some of the park’s amenities.

The park is beautiful the property manager Joe is is very pleasant to talk to. we were kind of miffed at first with the all dogs must be on a leash rule comeing from a dog training family our dogs are very well behaved and after seeing how busy the camp ground gets on the weekends we understand the strict rules. We stayed on rustic one and honistly it was beautiful being right under a beautiful tree hanging in the cass river we are planning a longer trip for next year already and we just left today

My son and daughter-in-law go to this campground every summer, they really like it. I went to visit them for the day, it was really full. They have showers, running water 💦, & a play area for kids. Some of the sites seem close, but others are nicely spaced. There are lots of trees for shade. At night it seems to be nice & quiet. There were lots of kids, but the parents didn't just let them run all over the place. They also have electricity, & sewage dump on site. The people that run the campground seem very nice. There are people there who stay there seasonally. The campground is very nicely maintained. It is a smaller campground. If you are ever in the area, you really need to give it a try. I hope you like it as well.

Our family of EIGHT hasn't been camping together a whole lot, but we sure do love it. Evergreen was by far the best campground we have set up at. We rented a rustic tent site for 2 nights. For the low cost of $25/night, we got bang for our buck. The site was right on the edge of the river. Ours had a huge tree that created plenty of shade. There was lots of room for our 12 person tent, as well as our 6 person tent. The campground doesn't have a lot of fancy amenities but that's how we like it. There is a well maintained pond with a nice beachy area, the pond is sectioned off by bouies so the little ones stay safe in the shallow end. There are well maintained Porta potties stationed throughout the grounds for those who don't want to walk all the way up to the ones by the office. I can't comment on the main bathrooms/showers as I didn't utilize them but another camper told me they were nice and the showers were hot. The camp store doesn't offer much but we were able to get our ice there, and I noticed bundles of wood for sale as well. There are gas stations/stores not too terribly far away for any other needs. They have a short trail through the woods that was easy for our youngins to trek through. There are a few different playground areas, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball court, a place to play ball. The grounds hosted free hayrides and a movie at dusk Saturday night. I would definitely recommend this campground for anyone looking to get back to nature and enjoy some family time. We will MOST DEFINITELY be making this an annual spot for camping.

It's a great place to go camping. It's also a great place for picnics and other events. They offer full-service hookups as well as rustic camping. Great playground areas for the kids. All the amenities of much larger campgrounds and close to home. Located on the shore of the Cass River it presents opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. It really is a beautiful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and to enjoy nature.

Super friendly guy in the office. Great to see basic fun camping without all the hoopla. Kids on bikes, hoverboards enjoying the grounds and swimming. Pet friendly atmosphere. Some sites large with pull thru access. Lots of full size trees for a variety of shade and sun. Loved our stay. Oh, bathroom is large and nice. Two showers available. Could be a little cleaner but this is the holiday weekend and i was in just before clean time. But still nice for the volume of guests.

Clean restrooms and showers also. Highly recommend this place. Large trail that goes around entire campground as well for walking and bike riding

I had the weekend off and drove straight north through the thumb on my way to Lake Huron. As I was driving, I saw this park on the side of M-53 and decided to turn in. This turned out to be a very nice little find. I was tenting it for the weekend and picked a secluded rustic site along the river that runs next to the park. The setting was beautiful next to the river and the full moon lit up the area at night - gorgeous. The rustic sites had the typical picnic table and small fire pit but there was no nearby water pump for the rustic campers - I had to fill up from one of the empty hook-up sites (no real biggie). The roads are dirt, the hookup sites looked fine, the water from the hookup tasted good with no unpleasant taste at all. The whole area is in a small wooded area which is surrounded by farm land and very gentle rolling hills. Because of the trees, all sites appeared to be well shaded. The campground does have showers near the office but you might have to walk a distance if you're farther out. There is no little convenience store on sight, although, if you want to grab a bite they have a little trailer/concession stand - and the sloppy joe I bought was typical fare. Consequently, you should be prepared to bring all your own food and sundry items as this place is out in the middle of the country and there's no gas station or shopping mart immediately nearby that you can make a run to. There is a little man made pond with a beach that looked nice and so if you wanted some sun you could lay out there while the kids played. There's some swings and a small basketball court, but nothing else in terms of playground area. The area and setting is also very nice and the place was surprisingly filled up given the location in the middle of farm country. The campers were very pleasant and seemed to all gather together in various groups and locations and you get the feeling that there are quite a few people who spend their summers here and they all know each other - which was nice as you didn't have the rude people who blast music till 2am like they're the only ones there - and even though there were a lot of people at the park, it quieted down nicely in the evening. Finally, the price - I paid $20 for an overnight on a rustic campground. That seemed like a little more than I'm used to paying at the state campgrounds; however, the area where the rustic sites were, which was right next to the river and away from all the other sites, more than made up for it - I felt like I got a great site for not a bad price at all! Overall, this is a very nice place, out in the country, and I would certainly stop by again.

Pulled effort from many bikers and the Abate of Michigan Reg 7. Evergreen park has thrived into a camping event for all. Many new sites with full hook up (electric, water, sewer), even some rustic sites. Play ground for kids with many camping games added in past 4 years. Great owners and atmosphere. Always have enjoyed our time here even after the end of Evergreens famous Evergreen Biker Weekend. Stop in for your next camping weekend, well worth checking out!

We camped with our RV in one of the pull thru, full hookup sites. It was convenient and well maintained. The site was part shade with a nice lg picnic table and fire pit. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely camp there again.

The people here are fantastic going far and above what was needed. Mike is very friendly. The campground is wooded which is great. We are planning on making this a regular stop. I wish I could give 10 stars.
