Oak Haven Resort & Campground

This place gets 5 stars across the board! The new owners are awesome. They really make you feel at home with excellent hospitality, nice cabins, great location from town and for fishing. Gotta see for yourself. I don't hand out 5 stars unless it truly deserves it!

We had a great week @ Oak Haven. Matt & Sarah were awesome. Cabins very neat & clean. Well kept. Pizza & ice cream an added plus. Enjoyed the boat watching on the river right out front from our cabin porch. Would recommend in a heart beat.

We stopped in for pizza when cruising between lakes. Perfect spot to meet friends for a bite to eat along the river. The new owners are fantastic and very accommodating! And the ice cream...😍

Wow! Thanks Matt and family! Someone who cares about making things right. The part that made me say wow is when he took time out of his day to put a trolling motor on a row boat so the kids including my kids could go out and fish the river on their own! You have a million things to do, but Thanks! We will be back! You don’t get that anywhere! Great spot also between several lakes!

Matt and Sarah are fantastic people, great prices, excellent service, and amazing fishing on top of it all. The pool is great to unwind after a day on the water. I highly recommend staying here. I can’t say enough about my experience here. See you again soon.

Had some trouble with our pontoon and Matt went out of his way to help us out. Could not have been any more accommodating, highly recommend them. Their location is also ideal, right on the Mississippi between two beautiful lakes.

We had engine troubles on our pontoon, Matt spent a good amount of time helping us and wouldn’t accept a penny in return. Great new owners running a great establishment in a beautiful spot, we’ll be sure to head back!

We have stayed at Oak Haven several times and have always enjoyed ourselves and this year was no different. Our cabin was comfortable and nice. We love listening to the loons, seeing the deer and eagles and of course the fishing is great. It is always good to take time to slow down, relax and reconnect with your family. Thank you Mike and Debbie for making Oak Haven the wonderful place that it is!!

We had the very best week at Oak Haven Resort!! Cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked! Owners Matt and Sarah are the nicest and most accommodating! Fishing was amazing. Highly recommend!

The owners of this place are super awesome. They have a great place to stay here in the Bemidji area they provide an excellent experience as well.
The check in process was super easy and we were able to split the cost of the cabin ! This place gets it...super chill super awesome.

The cabin we had number 11 was nothing short of a mansion! 3 couches, 3 recliners. Feast family table that seats at least 9..... Two refrigerators nice kitchen, two bathrooms, two picnic tables on the deck, a Weber grill, washer and dryer, 5 bedrooms with multiple bed options from King to queen to a room with dbl twins.
We cooked we ate and we socialized...we also caught some fish!!!

The heated pool was a short walk (steps from our cabin).
The boat dock was a short walk as well.
I am super glad we came up this way to get some fishing in !
I can't wait to return!

I go here every year and will for a as long as im able and even after that . Absolutely 💯 beautiful! Great fishing , clean awesome cabins and nice boat rentals. The owners Mike and Debbie are the nicest people. 100% favorite place on earth 🌎!

This was our 4th year staying at Oak Haven Resort. We have rented standard cabins in the past and for the last two years have upgraded to the big Cabin 11. We have 6 people in our group, two adults, two teens, and two younger children. We have always enjoyed ourselves here. They offer a lot of activities, including a kids only fishing trip. My kids are too shy to want to go, but maybe in the future!. They have a basketball court for the teens, canoes and paddle boats. The kids love playing on the play ground and fishing off the dock!! The indoor and outdoor pools are awesome, just the right temp (not cold at all!) and when it is raining we have something to do! Both standard cabins we have rented were nice, however cabin 11 is nothing short of awesome. The only complaint regarding the cabin is the queen beds could definitely use replacing. The twin beds are still comfy and nice. Spending a third of the time sleeping, it would be nice to have a more comfortable queen bed. The cabin is clean and well kept. I like clean so it is nice they have all the amenities to keep it that way, ie washer/dryer (no fishy smell towels or clothes for a week ), dishwasher, broom, vacuum, etc... The bathrooms are CLEAN!! no mold, no mildew! Deb and Mike are very pleasant and very easy to work with. All the other guests we have encountered have been pleasant. Fishing is great, even in August. The river is clear and my kids love cruising down and spotting the wildlife. I would recommend this resort.

We just completed our second family vacation at Oak Haven. Once again, we had an excellent time. The owners, Mike and Debbie, definitely made this a family and kid-friendly resort. They make it crystal clear that absolutely no cussing is allowed, especially in front of children. At Oak Haven, our kids have enjoyed fishing contests, turtle races, and a kids-only fishing trip with a celebratory fish fry.

The facility has single-family cabins, and a very large Cabin 11 which accommodates up to 19 people. It is very clean, and well-run. Our kids enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and of course, plenty of fishing. We rented the pontoon boat for the week and definitely enjoyed it. We also used the canoes and paddle boats freely available to the first takers. Other campers had great fishing success on the bass boats. Our best day of fishing yielded 53 keeper fish, so that's not too bad!

Our kids also spent a good amount of time at the lodge where they enjoyed the arcade games, excellent ice cream, root beer floats, burgers and fries and other treats. They have a collection of family games, and books that families can borrow. The indoor pool is in the lodge, so my wife and I enjoyed playing cards while we watched our kids swim.

Once again, this is place is all about family fun. If you're into the party scene, this place is definitely not for you. If that's your thing, Mike and Debbie would be fine if you book your trip at another resort. They have high standards and that's what makes Oak Haven a superior experience. If you want a great family vacation, this is definitely worth checking out.

Beautiful place right off the river. Lots of animals to see... Deer, squirrels and bunnies.

Oak Haven is in the prime location. On the Mississippi, with access to 99i lakes, including Cass Lake. It has cute cabins, 2 swimming pools and a seasonal campground. Best of all, Oak Haven only serves their guests, giving you all the attention!

Excellent experience great new people. Very enjoyable time will be back!

Wonderfull place for family to go. Fun things for kids like 🐢 races. Kids fishing trip. 🍕 party. And rootbeer is the 💣. And so is there rootbeer floats. Heated pools. Fishing off the docks right on the mississippi river. Mike and deb do a great job keeping it all working safe and fun. Keep up the great job.

This is out 4th year, we enjoy the quiet night by the fire and days out fishing. Pools indoor and out, very family friendly. Owners treat their guest like old friends. Activities for the kids such as races and fishing. We love it here

My family and I really enjoy coming here every year .Lots of family activitys ..ping pong,fishing, swimming, canoes, turtle races yes turtle races 🐢 and so much more and to top it off Mike and Deb are great !!
