I worked here in 1999, and my god what an experience. Learnt a lot about myself and the way of life of camp. Such an eye opener and the experience the young boys would gain from such an amazing place was and is second to none. I was so blessed to have been chosen to work for them coming from Wales and was best decision I ever made at a young age.

Camp Chippewa for Boys has been a gift of character and confidence that I enjoy giving to my son annually (for the past 6 years, staring as he was entering 3rd grade). All camps should be fun but Chippewa takes leaps an bounds above others in thoughtful programming that aims to put challenges, fun and a well trained staff in front of a developing child while away from home. I value the non-tech environment, diligently trained staff, beautiful surroundings and the all-around caring that happens at this special place. Each year the trip experience grows and this year my son canoed with others in Canada on a week long trip and next summer he will take a longer trip into the boundary water of Canada with new opportunities to learn grit hands-on. I know that when my son returns each year from camp he has new tools to support confidence, comraderie with others and resilience to take on new challenges when back to routine life. We did our research when selecting a camp and we have been willing to fly our son from California to Minnesota so that he may experience all that Chippewa consistently offers. Thank you Camp Chippewa!

Our 11-year-old son went here for the first time this summer. When I dropped him off, he was nervous and scared; however, I told him if he didn’t want to stay, I would stay in his place after getting the tour. The staff were great and communicated with us very well. This camp made a big difference in our son, and improved his confidence in himself; and he has shown more independence without seeking approval from us, the parents, before doing things on his own. We are planning to send both of our boys there again next year.

This is a truly special place. I’m so fortunate that we would this for our sons. It’s a huge investment in their future.

Our 12 year old went for the first time for a month this year and loved it -- next year he wants to go for the full two months. It's wonderful that he enjoys the independence, sports and "outdooriness" of it all so much. It was such a great recommendation from a family friend.

My son has attended Camp Chippewa for 3 summers. Coming up will be his 4th year. Each year he leaves our house jittery with too much screen time, and a month later comes back a calm, compassionate, and confident person. The staff makes every effort to go above and beyond to train their staff, stay educated, and stay very transparent on communication with the families before the kids leave, as well as while they are away. The positive impacts my son has had from attending camp Chippewa in raising his skill set at working with others, to finding peace stillness in nature is priceless. In a time of so much noise for children of today, Camp Chippewa has made a safe and beautiful environment for children to develop into amazing adults. Just yesterday my son said “I can’t wait for camp this year!” That warms our heart. Our family cannot say enough great things about Camp Chippewa

I was a camp counselor here back in 2008. To this day, I recommend it to parents and kids because it was one of the most awesome places for a boy to spend his summers. And the boys here truly have an experience like no other. Its not your typical camp that focuses on silliness and excitement... These boys learn about tradition, character, and adventure... Just as the motto implies. Many of the counselors here where campers and one point or another and want to carry on the traditions. The boys are treated fairly and with respect, and they learn so much. I just can't say enough good things about it. Send your son here, you won't be disappointed.

There is no better place for a boy than Camp Chippewa. Loved it when I was young. My son loved it. I go back and volunteer every year.
