Marquette Bar & Cafe

Great little restaurant which is been in Marquette as long as I can remember. Great biscuits and gravy huge helping can barely eat it but still get it. Good coffee. Also have a huge hamburger and other homemade items.

Nice traditional small town cafe and bar with excellent food, service, and prices.

Great service and great food. Can't wait to get back for some chicken dumpling soup.

Just had an absolutely wonderful breakfast at this quaint little place. This is one of the few small establishments left and they really know how to make you feel at home. The service was absolutely wonderful, while I never got the lady's name, the server always had a smile on her face. The food there was some of the best I've ever had, even from the bigger chains like Huddle House and IHOP. If you are ever in Marquette, Iowa, whether your just driving through or staying for a day or two, be sure to give this place a shot. You won't regret it.

I went in to have a hamburger french fries and a bowl of soup and it was so amazing. It was totally homemade it was so delicious I would eat here morning noon or night.

The food is great, the prices are still pre-covid, which is amazing. Atmosphere is older, but homey, reminds me of when I'd go for brunch with my grandparents. Really the only "negative" is parking spots

Laid back dive bar/pub/. Food was really good and affordable. Drinks were fair prices too. We had dinner but would go back for breakfast.

Great food at a great price. Great menu choices for lunch and usually a lunch special running. The breakfasts are excellent. Don't miss an opportunity to get filled up with a good meal at a good price if you are traveling through the area. I don't drink but they have a fully stocked bar with a great atmosphere if you find yourself a little parched and looking for a place to sit back and relax. Take care.

I love this old place. Been going here on & off since I was in elementary & have very fond memories & current ones too! Wonderful service & great food! Go there & I'm hoping you all have a positive experience as I do!!! Very decent portions & prices & a cute historical river town to explore too!!!

Tiny little place with excellent food and big portions for the price..very affordable!! Blueberry pancakes are huge and delicious and come with homemade syrup (I call it moonshine for pancakes). Our waitress was awesome with a good sense of humor and very attention!! We will be back!

Awesome food and the drinks are strong! This was a cool home base for us as we explored Marquette/Prairie du Chien/Yellow River.

Hopefully you get Shelly. She’s a great bartender and makes you feel right at home.

Side note: You can also trust the tuna sandwich. It’s usually a gamble most places, but I took the chance and it was great. No poop problems afterward at all.

Order a burger, fries (1 is enough to share!), and a bowl of their chicken dumpling soup....you won't be disappointed! We always make it a point to stop here when we're in the area for the holiday train. It's a tradition.

I always eat breakfast here when on my trout fishing trips in NE Iowa. The breakfast food is AMAZING. Greasy, fresh, simple. Do not expect small portions or health food. The potatoes are fantastic, and made fresh that morning, no frozen bags of spuds here! The back of the cafe is the bar, and you'll find a few souls having beers and shots at 9am...hey, It's rural America.

Friendly greeting.Quick service.Good recommendation for lunch - chicken salad sandwich. It was delicious. Kept in touch to see if we needed anything else. If you're traveling near or through Marquette, you have to stop in at the Marquette Bar and Café. Big brick building across from Cases. Near the bridge.
