Carson Cafe and Grocery

We stopped in today for the first time after seeing and hearing about this small cafe/general store and we are glad we did! My wife had the breakfast plate with 2 eggs, bacon, and potatoes and I had a breakfast burrito with green chile and sausage. Mine came with a small side of red and green and the flavors were absolutely delicious. The whole plate was well worth the price. We will be returning with the rest of the family soon.

This wonderful small business is a community hub serving Freshly prepared food, coffee, smoothies and beer. Small grocery with essentials. An outdoor stage for karaoke and live music performances. Yoga several times a week. A community garden. Fun place to hang out and meet your neighbors and friends.

Great food, friendly staff and comfy atmosphere. Say hello to Craig, Jeff, Jordan, Alyssa and Vonnie.
You will not be disappointed. Light sundries store as well.

Update: Jordan makes the best Pizza in Taos County. Try a pie but order ahead of time as they are prepared fresh to order.

Cool vortex with good food, coffee, art and conversations. Great gatherings and unparalleled views of cloudbursts and sunsets. Love the weird wild wacky locals of Carson.

What an amazing find! We were on our way to Ojo Caliente and literally stumbled upon this darling cafe. Their coffee is INCREDIBLE and my bf couldn’t stop gushing about his breakfast burrito. Definitely worth the trip!

Blown away! One cafe and a post office literally way off the beaten path. The Cafe is AWESOME we got the cheese burgers. Delicious. Fresh and prepared perfectly! I will drive from my Colorado home to eat here again.

Stopped here last week and seriously it’s far from anywhere and a great local business. We ordered two smoothies which were excellent made with real fruit not powders and chemicals. Fun local vibe, really enjoyed my short visit!

This place is beautiful! There are vendors outside with all kinds of cool stuff. There's a restaurant and grocery store inside. Live music outside by the vendors with a real stage and amps. Very dog and kid friendly. Very chill, friendly vibes. This is worth the stop even if you just want some coffee and look at cool art. This officially my new favorite place.

Carson Cafe is a gem. Given it's location on the map, you'd expect potato chips in soda. In reality, they've got a great variety of artisan and high end groceries, as well as made to order dishes that do not compromise! They also often have live music, yoga, and other gatherings. Meanwhile Craig, the owner, is a great conversationalist!

BEST burger EVER! ANYWHERE!! Wow! Must visit this "off the beaten path" Cafe! You won't be disappointed.

A great way to meet the folks that live in the Carson area. The cafe offers food and drink, music, karaoke, craft market, and a social gathering point for people living on the west side of the Rio Grande gorge. It has a good selection of things to eat and drink in the cafe side and good "go to" necessities on the grocery side.
