Deer Lodge Motel

I was on my way through the west on a multi-week solo trip. I mostly camped on this trip, but felt like having a bed for the evening after a long day exploring around Devil's Tower and of course the drive. Jill (one of the owners) was very helpful with ideas for dinner and had the room spotlessly clean. This place is not perfect - it is older, does not have a pool, USB ports, etc. But the wifi works, the room is CLEAN (did I say it was clean?), the water was hot, and the laundry room was perfect. The bed was a bit hard as someone else said, but that is exactly what I wanted. This is a locally owned business and I recommend you stay here. I will be coming back next time I drive west.

Stayed one night at this lovely family owned motel in Sundance. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Had electric and usb ports at bedside. Motel office and breakfast area was pleasant, clean, and well stocked with good self serve foods for breakfast - juices, milk, coffee, oatmeal, meal bars,etc. Jill was always very pleasant and friendly. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had a spacious room with King bed, plenty of pillows and nice covers. Had a hot shower before bed and in the morning. Plenty of hot water. Room was very very clean. We have a dog and usully he is sniffing everything forever because of other dogs. This room he came in did a once over and settled right down. Super nice to park right outside our door to unload. New management is great. Was a very nice stay.

Stayed here when we got caught in a winter storm and the service could not have been better! Jill the owner is so kind and really cares about everyone who comes through her door! She went above and beyond and stayed open late to make sure we got a room! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect for grabbing something quick and hitting the road! Couldn't beat the price for incredible service and a great room! If we ever pass through Sundance again, we know exactly where to stay. This family owned business puts their heart and soul into their customer service and I highly recommend a stay at the Deer Lodge (whether planned in advance or because your summer tires can't handle the Wyoming snow!)!

The room smelled amazing. Many new improvements and they are still doing more. It felt like home, easy to relax and get a good night's sleep.

I highly recommend this motel! We have stayed 2 times and Jill has always been nothing but Fantastic! I love the customer service and the communication! We will always stay here when we come to Wyo/SD!

On the return trip of a cross country road trip, I can say that of all the Quality Inns, and Motel 6s, this was the best motel that we've stayed at. Clean modernized rooms, comfy beds, and incredibly friendly staff. If you need somewhere to stay on your trip to Devils Tower, I'd highly recommend this motel. This is where I'll stay if I find myself in Sundance again.

Deer Lodge is a great place to stay. The staff is very accommodating. We didn’t partake of the breakfast but from what I saw it looked really good. The only bad thing was that the room didn't have anywhere to hang hanging clothes. If we're ever back that way, you can bet that's where we'll stay!!!

Yes people, this place used to have a pool but not anymore, it's a storage room, I highly recommend the Serena inn if you want to go to a hotel with a pool. Just giving new people a heads up

A nice little place to stay in Sundance. Everything you may need is a short walk away. Price is good. Older building. Older plumbing. But not a bad stay.

It's nothing flashy or fancy, but I was very impressed with this place! The price was good and the rooms were clean and comfortable! Their lobby was only open until 10 pm on the night we arrived, but we ended up in bad weather and were going to arrive after 10 pm. I called ahead and the front desk attendant was happy to work with me, which I appreciated. I would definitely stay here again and definitely recommend to others!

Great Motel! Clean - the owners run it. If I’m ever back in the area this is where I’ll stay. If you’re planing on visiting Devil’s Tower there’s very little lodging in the immediate area - this is one of your closest options. And you can say you stayed in the town - Sundance - That the Sundance kid took his name from!

Clean, courteous, convenient, complete . The Keller family's management style should serve as a top goal for all lodging operations !

FYI: There’s no pool anymore!

But everything else was fantastic. Comfortable clean rooms. Free breakfast. Friendly staff and great customer service. 10/10 would stay again.

Very clean, comfortable room. Very quiet. They had a continental breakfast, but we had to leave early. So sorry we missed it. Enjoyed our stay.

The staff was amazing! They were respectful and ive never been treated better. I would pick deerlodge over any expensive hotel including the Hilton. The staff owners truly care about your needs and ill be coming ⁰

Perfect place to stay when visiting Devil's Tower, friendly folk run it, nice little town. Rooms have good cell service, AC, TV, clean, all I was looking for.
