Classic diner with all-day breakfast! Great food, great service, and awesome pie.

Classic American food is done right at this small-town family restaurant - it's a local staple. The servers and owner are friendly and attentive. Tasty breakfasts served all day, burgers, a good selection of homemade pies, and coffee. Their French fries are just the way I like them - hot and crispy! My personal favorite is the chopped steak with mashed potatoes & gravy 🤤 Other favorites are their walleye, and their steak quesadilla.

Don't pass by Thorp without stopping at the iconic Thorpedo - it would be a tragedy!!

If you want great service, friendly staff, good food and a fair price, this is the place. If you want fancy, go to Minneapolis. We always try to time our trips so that we can eat here. Soups are home made, food comes out hot and fast, and the smiling staff know what they are doing. As for the pies; just make sure you have loose clothes. They are delicious!

We tried for some good home cooking style food. Service was great and the the food was very well prepared.

Great time! This was halfway point to fetch grandkids from their other grandparents. The server was cordial, that typical small town charm, the food was great, and the prices were commensurate with quality, the size of the portions was like the good ole days, and if I ever find myself 200 miles from home, I’ll eat here again.

Stopped in after a job for lunch. I ended up getting breakfast since it's served all day. Food was good and the service was great! Will definitely be back again.

Driven by a thousand times and finally decided to stop. Well worth it! Clean restaurant, friendly staff, and big menu with delicious food!

I was traveling to Green Bay to watch the Vikings/Packers game. I ran into car trouble and all the auto shops were closed. Ali the owner left work and took me to the hardware store to get needed supplies. I was able to make it to the game. I stoped back to say thank you on my way home. My son and I had a great meal and it was all thanks to Ali! Thank you so much it’s nice to know the world has still had good people in it!

Really cool little restaurant I stumbled across while driving and exploring Wisconsin. The thorpedo burger was an interesting menu item and it was really good to say the least. Food was good. Atmosphere gave off a little bit of a modern take to a diner. Relaxing and just a nice place to sit down and eat. They also have soups of the moment and it was also really good. Fairly cheap as well.

Food is always good here, very friendly and never have a long wait to start getting food. Get a good amount of food for the price.

The only reason I took away stars for service and atmosphere is because everyone but 2 waitresses came across and super grumpy. It was busy, I get it, but I work where it's busy a lot of the time, but we don't show our frustration to the customers. This is our favorite place to stop after rock fest and the food is outstanding so we'll continue to visit every year! Never had a bad experience here so I'm sure it's a fluke and will be better next year!

A little gem off of 29! Real food with great service (no kiosks here!). Love the atmosphere, these roadside diners are becoming harder and harder to find. Well worth the stop!

Just today went to the Thorpedo Restaurant for the second time (I live a ways away, but can't resist when I'm driving by on the highway around lunchtime). The first time I went I got breakfast for lunch (breakfast is served all day) and it was delicious! Today I decided to get a classic grilled cheese sandwich, fries, and a steaming bowl of potato soup. I was seated as soon as I walked in and my waitress was ready to take my order the moment I decided what I wanted. The potato soup was hot and creamy (the potatoes pieces that were in it were so soft you could use your tongue to mash them against the roof of your mouth); the fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside; and the grilled cheese was made with Texas toast, grilled until golden, and the cheese positively oozed out as you took a bite! 😍 My bill (very reasonably priced) was brought to me right as I was finishing the last of my fries.

Eight guys on the way to hunting camp. Delicious, piping hot breakfast served all at once and quickly. Ten out of ten!
