We have some nice parks in town but we really need a dog park. I’m writing this here because the phone for parks and rec never actually leads to a greeting on the other end. If someone says “but we have a dog park” they’re lying to you. We have a caged in sand pit next to the animal shelter. This means locked up dogs bark at you- as it’s only open during their business hours- the entire time you try to let your “free” dogs play and it’s sad and stressful. We need a bike path and a legitimate dog park in town and I’m not going to get into the pot holes and litter and dead animals left to rot on the street but...you get the idea. Let’s clean up Taos and start with a place for dogs that isn’t just an animal control truck for the countless strays.

Taos is a town in Taos County in the north-central region of New Mexico in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
