Had a wonderful weekend playing at the tournament here the weekend of March 8-10. A very nice facility in a great lil' town. Can't wait to come back next year!

The Taos Youth and Family Center is more than just an ice hockey rink! There's a big swimming pool here, and a recreation area with table tennis. If you are camping in the area, you can come here and pay a couple of bucks to take a shower in the locker room. Water is hot in those showers and there's no time limit on your shower. The Youth and Family Center is a great community resource.

This place was very accommodating for the ice hockey tournament they held. When you walk in you are greeted with a large game room that still costs reasonable to lower than average prices, fun seating, and a snack bar. They had security and police on scene for the unruly hockey parents (many had to get escorted off the premises) but all went with minimal issue. The only downside by the ice arena is the draftiness from the winds but that is to be expected in a partially outdoor rink.

Nah, it's not a wall mural/painting ... it's a beautiful mountain backdrop to this great rink/rec center. Lots of games/snacks for kids too!

Review of the lap swim — great value. At $3 the lowest drop-in fee I’ve seen anywhere in the country. Nice, uncrowded pool with mountain views.

Call to check on hours, there was an additional afternoon lap swim that I didn’t see on the website, so I was glad I checked.

Swimming was great. water was at a good tempature and chlorine levels were minimal. I am sensitive to chlorine so avoid pools. But had no effect how to enjoy more often.

$30 for 50 lap or rec swims and they just put blue light technology in the pool. I am exceedingly grateful for this rec center. It is a blessing to our children in Taos. There is a skate rink, pool, shuffleboard, games, hot therapy pool and room to reserve for birthdays.

Great prices for swimming, ice skating, roller blading...and small arcade with outside skate rink has something for everyone. Plus there's a new small gym area with weights & machines!

Quaint little place. The pool was fun. There was a water slide and a therapy pool whoch was closed at the time. As I went during a church activity, it was rather crowded. But still tons of fun to play in

Plenty of indoor games for kids, outdoor playground seems nice. Was snowy outside to try it out. The restroom is clean and well maintains. Semi outdoor rink is average.

Touch a Truck was a fabulous experience! All the vendor tables were very focused on the children and their needs.

Skatepark is beyond repair and borderline un-skate-able unless you really watch out for rocks and cracks. Previously attempted concrete patchwork is coming up from the ground and presents its own problems. The skateboarding and all other recreation involving small wheels wants a new skatepark in Taos from approximately a dozen or more people I've spoke with, exponentially. To the conclusion that an indoor/ outdoor skatepark would be best.
Everything else at the Y&FC is top notch.

Our last trip of just a week ago went really well. It was Hockey season so watched my nephew play there. The facilities for Hockey is good and skating when no games are on. The swimming pool is great for the community too. Great place for our kids. Wish I could bring it back home to England quite honestly.
