My Experience with the "New" Chinese Chef after the owner Mei moved onto new adventures.

I've been to Chinese Chef three times since they reopened with a new management and a new menu. The first two times, I was very dissatisfied with the quality and service. The food was cold and bland, the plates and utensils were disposable, and the staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. I felt like I wasted my money and time on a terrible meal.

However, my husband convinced me to give them another chance, as he heard some positive feedback from other people. So we went there for the third time, hoping for a better experience.

And we were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and hot, the dishes were varied and authentic, and the plates and utensils were ceramic and metal. The waitress was courteous and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and cozy. We enjoyed our meal and felt like we got our money's worth.

I'm glad I gave Chinese Chef another try, as they have improved a lot since their reopening. I would recommend them to anyone who likes Chinese food and wants a satisfying buffet.

I have found my New Spot.. The food was Amazing... The service was great... I've been to several Chinese restaurants and something was always wrong.. Not here tho.. I will definitely be back.

The food is very good and the staff is very friendly and nice and it's a very clean place

So I was starting to feel disappointed the food was not tasting so great. BUT... the last two times we went it has been BETTER than before!!!

It still surprises me that little Eastman has such a good Chinese buffet!

We came tonight since they reopened and omg yes finally it is back to being delicious!!! And they have fresh sushi!!!!!

Great buffet... reasonable price

This place is scrumptious! Consistently delicious, which is very hard to find with a buffet..or really any place this day in time. Each time we go the food is always hot, fresh, and we are greeted with smiling faces.

There's a wide variety of delicious, hot food on the buffet regardless of what time you go. My daughter loves the butterfly shrimp and bacon wrapped crab. My favorite are the cheese rolls, bacon wrapped crab and the wontons.

Great Egg Drop Soup and Crab Rangu.

Always delicious! This place has been in Eastman for nearly 30 years. I loved coming here as a kid and always make a point to visit when I'm visiting Eastman. The buffet has everything you'd want and even has nuggets and fries for the kids. Highly recommend.

Great food, awesome dessert and friendly staff!

Love this place. Friendly staff that remembered my usual even after I had been out of the area for over a year. Their new Kung Pao Chicken is one of my favorites, but the Sesame Chicken is probably the most popular item.

I eat here several times a year and am always satisfied. I always eat from the buffet and there isn't a single thing on the buffet that has disappointed me. Sesame chicken, general tso chicken, lemon chicken, and some shrimp dish (I forgot the name of it) are some of the best ones. The eggrolls and cream cheese ragoons are great too. Staff is always very friendly, polite, and attend to customers quickly. The takeout prices can be a bit high, but it is the only place in town, so what can you expect. There is a reason why this place has been thriving over the years while other Chinese places have opened and closed. My only complaint is that the restaurant is dated and the buffet area is small, and placed strangely next to the kitchen. They need more room for all the customers they get. The restaurant is always packed, and I imagine the would get even more customers if they moved to a bigger location.

Love to go here. Everyone is so nice and the food is awesome. Very clean and they keep food bar full and clean. I give them an 11 score. Awesome.

Buffet is great but order from the menu for the best stuff. Orange chicken is so good and fresh, beef scallion is another favorite. Always good and friendly service from the owners and everyone else too.

This has been my favorite Chinese Restaurant. I always order the hot and spicy shrimp, wonton soup, spring egg rolls and dragon phoenix soup. Nice cozy quiet atmosphere with excellent service.

My all time favorite Chinese Restaurant! Their staff is very friendly and treat you like family! The food and service is outstanding! Thank you for serving our community the past 20+ years!

The sesame chicken is the best I've had. All of the entrees here are good. Service great. Owner is so friendly. Definitely worth visiting this restaraunt!!

Best honey chicken and Dragon phoenix soup I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Best and freshest buffet near or far!
