HALLSVILLE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, Pastor, Reverend James A. Davis since 1991

HISTORY (in brief):
HALLSVILLE is 153 years old. It began under a tree; and after meeting there for a time, the original members of the church composed of residents of the Beaulaville, Serecta, and Harveytown neighborhoods erected a makeshift structure and began holding church services in it.
Shortly thereafter, this structure began being used both for church services and for a school house. Some time later the Jackson Store Road property, which also houses a traditional church cemetary, was donated to the church.
HALLSVILLE was the mother church of several Missionary Baptist Churches in the Beaulaville area including both
DAISY CHAPEL MBC--Reverend Gary Moore, and GRAHAM CHAPEL MBC--Reverend Dennis Fulwood. Now defunct JONES CHAPEL sprang out of DAISY CHAPEL.

HALLSVILLE is a member church of the Kenansville Missionary Baptist Church Assocation (KEMBA)--Current Moderator, Reverend, Dr. A.J. Connors: The headquarters of which is currently located in Warsaw, NC. HALLSVILLE is active and in good standing and Reverend James A. Davis currently serves as a member of the KEMBA Ministerial Board.

CHARACTER:
HALLSVILLE continues to be a traditional ("old school") environment which is warm and welcoming to friends and strangers alike. THE •Sunday Worship Services held on 1st and 3rd Sunday's of the month (11am-12:30pm) and the invitation to Christian discipleship is extended as part of every worship service.
•Sunday School begins at 9:45 am on 1st and 3rd Sundays and is followed by the main worship service.
•Bible Study (Postponed Until Further Notice) is typically held twice monthly on the Tuesday before the 1st Sunday and the Tuesday before the 3rd Sunday (6-7:30 pm).
