Now I see why this place has amazing reviews. I got a half shrimp po boy. It was a lot of food. All fresh and super yummy. Highly recommend this place if you are passing through or live in the area.

The food here was phenomenal, and the portions were huge. I highly recommend the boom boom shrimp and the boudin balls. Also, the boom boom shrimp poboy, and the crab cake burger. The food was so good, I am already looking forward to going back! Please stop by and check this place out for yourself! The Boom Boom Shrimp Poboy, was the best shrimp poboy I think I’ve ever had.

Stopped here to use the restroom at the gas station next door decided to go in and grab something. The girl taking the order was super nice to me and my wife we split a shrimp po boy and she gave us a sprite to split. Overall great service and food was delicious.

What a great last stop on our way out of LA! Had to try Gator before we left the state. Food and service were great. Fun gator decor from the truck stop attached. Lots of cute things for last chance souvenir shopping. Only complaints are that I'm very disappointed the gator bites didn't come with fries, especially for the cost. Also the floors are dangerously slick, my guess they use the same mop and water full of grease from the kitchen.

Food was pretty good. I had the shrimp etouffee over rice and everything was fresh and delicious. Customer service was A1,nice southern hospitality. All truckers/travelers should add this one to their list.

Friendly staff and good food. We got 20 Boudin links, they were spicy and delicious. We had another 3 hours on our drive home so we asked for extra empty To Go containers (to use as plates in the car) and the To Go lady was more than happy to accommodate us.

I always enjoy the shrimp gumbo with added crab and oysters. Kevin enjoyed chicken fried steak with sweet potato fries. He asked for brown gravy & they served him a pint of it. His side salad was fresh with tiny grape tomatoes which he gave to me.

Excellent food. We have so much that we both bring half of our meal home. Thank you. The store attached has really cool Louisiana type of gifts.

Place was good and very good price had 3 people we ate for less than 50 bucks

Come and get some authentic southern cooking and down home hospitality at Bourbon Street Restaurant. I try and stop here every time I'm in the area. I have not had a dish I didn't like. They're located right off the interstate, and they have big truck parking in the rear. They open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

This place was almost full. We walked up to the bar, got a menu from the waitress, ordered then, decided we wanted to stay.

I had the shrimp poboy. He had the crawfish fries. Everything was perfect.

The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. The staff was friendly and establishment comfortable and clean . Highly recommend all to try. Great for children also. They also serve plate lunches at noon. A lot of food for your money. I can make two meals out of one plate lunch.
Inside isn't very large and restaurant is connected to a truck stop so parking isn't always the best.

Will definitely be back. Amazing shrimp Po boy and fried pickles. I could have made another sandwich with the shrimp. Great prices and service. Connected to a convenience store. Don’t let that stop you from a sit down meal.

The food was so good, big proportions and the staff was friendly. Definitely will be back.

We stopped in for dinner on our way for Thanksgiving with family. The food was excellent. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo and was some of the best I’ve had. Good portion sizes

Great Cajun food, poo boys are delicious with lot's of shrimp and gumbo is very tasty

The best Boom Boom shrimp salad anywhere. Clean environment, clean restrooms, and store. Worth the stop.

This restaurant is amazing! The service was great! Eric attended to my business guests very professionally and was attentive to every need. The restaurant was clean and the decor really makes you feel like you're eating in a restaurant in New Orleans. The food was fresh, delicious and well portioned. I highly recommend you get the alligator appetizer! That was the best alligator bites I've ever had. I ordered the stuffed catfish that was perfectly paired with a cornbread and sausage stuffing. It was on a bed of rice with shrimp etoufe poured on top! Unbelievable!!! Opelousas has a hidden gem with this restaurant!
