Lunch with family in a posh atmosphere. Perfectly appointed right down to the last detail. Recommend the fried chicken, mac and cheese and the delicious pork chops they have been serving on Thursdays

The seasoning on the fried chicken was a delightful surprise. Enjoyed the pork chop, too. The fresh watermelon was delicious. Banana pudding tasted like my mom's.

There is interesting artwork scattered throughout the restaurant.

Excellent choice for a nice sit down lunch. Traditional southern dishes in comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Definitely worth checking out!

My family from DC, Cleveland, Miami and Florence visited this restaurant for my mom's 80th birthday lunch. The food was fresh and delicious! The fried chicken was the best we've ever had! The service/staff was absolutely amazing. Southern hospitality at its best! We were so impressed, We went back 3 times in a week! 5 stars for everything!!!

My husband Michael and I were traveling from Maryland to Florida and we stopped in South Carolina and had lunch at South Of Pearl. When I say the food was great. I can't say enough how good the food is here. I don't usually go back for seconds, I did this time. The atmosphere was so inviting, the staff and customers were really nice. They treated us like they knew us forever. The restaurant itself is just beautiful. We where even lucky enough to meet the owners. They were just as pleasant and polite as everyone else. Very friendly people. If you are ever in South Carolina you must stop in and check out South Of Pearl you will enjoy your meal. Michael said the fried chicken reminded him of his mother and she was an excellent cook , that statement from him was a big compliment coming from him. Thank You again South Of Pearl owners and staff for a great time and treating Michael and I like family.

This review is for the lunch buffet. It was very very nice. Great selection of country cooking favorites including prime rib. Service was perfect and the ice tea was very refreshing. Love visiting Darlington.

Fabulous food and friendly service. Probably the best fried chicken I've ever had. All served with a side of gracious Southern hospitality on a beautiful historic home. . Can't wait to go back!

My teenage daughter, husband and I enjoyed a lovely lunch today at South of Pearl located in the Historic area of Darlington, SC. Lunch is served buffet style with a delicious selection of meats and sides. A fresh salad and soup were also offered. Take my advice and make sure to try the dessert. Today's dessert was a delicious banana pudding. We will definitely plan to return.

South of Pearl did an incredible job catering my father's celebration of life service. My father's favorite meal was breakfast, and South of Pearl catered the most beautiful and tasty brunch. The staff was professional and attentive to every detail. The display was gorgeous, and the food was just as amazing as the buffet looked. The food was maintained at the perfect temperature, which made it all the more appetizing to eat after the service. My only regret is that my father was not around to enjoy the food with us. I highly recommend South of Pearl for anyone in the Pee Dee area who is planning any kind of event that requires a meal or refreshments. They are the best. Thank you for a perfect day that honored our father.

With a different menu everyday, it's sure to please everyone. I have been every day of the week and every day is good. This is the first time I've visited in a long while since I no longer work in the area. Nothing has changed and the food is a amazing as ever! The southern hospitality and atmosphere is something I have truly missed! I promise you will not be disappointed!

When you want that “home cooked” meal, you go to South of Pearl..the collard greens are amazing, fried chicken is perfection, this place is the gem of Darlington imo

An absolute gem. This is a must visit in Darlington. The best food. Southern comfort at its best. Wish we were around longer to visit again. Amazing hospitality, done right.

By far our favorite restaurant in Darlington. The staff is absolutley the best and the food is wonderful. The atmosphere is really what makes it though. Love, love, love this place.

Wife and I had our wedding reception there. No way any place around can bet the love put in to making our day special. Everything was taken care of, the food was fantastic, Roseanne is the best host I've ever worked with. Everything was perfect and our guests raved about the entire event.

Absolutely loved it! I stopped and grabbed to-go plates because I didn't have time to eat in, and I had my three month old with me. They were very helpful in assisting me to get my food and even help me take it to the car. Food was phenomenal, can't wait to go dine in! Comfort food and friendly place!

My wife and I were directed here by the staff at Darlington Speedway, and was not disappointed. All the dishes were outstanding, and the staff there are the epitome of southern hospitality. The fried chicken was indeed the best I've ever had. We will be back.

The setting was gracious southern hospitality. The lunch buffet was delicious. The staff met us with enthusiasm and took care of our every need without being overbearing. The homemade desserts were "to-die-for".

This is a upscale restaurant owned by God Hardee. I have eaten here numerous times and have enjoyed it. There dinner is top notch. I love there prime rib and the home made egg rolls. There lunch is great as well and reasonable priced.

Love this place, great food for a very good price. Love the house it's in, lovely. We've eaten here several times, and of course will again. the roast prime rib, the biscuits', salad bar, and all the sides, wonderful.

I love taking my friends and family there
for lunch and I always seem to meet those that I have not seen in a long time. Food and atmosphere is great. Templin is doing a great job
