Marlboro Family Practice & Urgent Care

I am only rating my PA, Cowan. She is amazing! She listens to my concerns, she treats the problem not the symptoms, and I feel, truly cares about her patients. As for the rest of the facility's employees, I'd rather not comment because on different days you get different results.

I can't speak about any other provider in the office other than Terri Cowan, as she is the only one I ever see. However, I can say that she is the best, hands down. I have seen her for medical care for many years, both here and a previous office, and she has always been great. She is professional, attentive and compassionate. Her nurse, Amanda, is wonderful, too!

Dr. Mitchell is my doctor and she is wonderful. I can be completely honest with her and she never seems judgmental. She always asks how my children are and knows them by name.

Because I couldn't pronounce her name, was awesome very attentive.
Went back couple years later and got a nasty Doctor rude was acting like I wasn't there.
Wouldn't give me an excuse due to some meds that were too strong and I couldn't get up for work....

If you care about yourself or your loved ones, DO NOT go here for medical care. I went here on THURSDAY because I was sick. After what seemed like forever, was finally seen. A nose swab test was given and I was diagnosed with the flu. Was asked if I needed a note for work, and I said yes and one was provided. Didn't look at note then seeing as I was very sick with the flu. on SATURDAY, when this place is CLOSED, looked at note which stated I was able to return to work on SUNDAY, TWO days after being told I had the FLU. A coworker got sick around the same time as me, went to an urgent care in Hartsville, and was quarantined for 5 days. On Monday I went back to see if I could get note extended was told, we don't quarantine for the flu and if I needed my work note changed l would have to be seen again,
which meant I would have to pay again for the same sickness. Asked why and was told I needed to "calm down" by receptionist. These people don't care about your health, they are just out for a dollar. Again, if you are sick, DO NOT go to this place!

My son was brought here today seriously sick an the male doctor racially profiled an verbally assaulted my pregnant fiance. NEVER in a million years would I think a DOCTOR would racially discriminate a patient. Not only was that done my son also had low oxygen levels an the nurse kept taking my son's level until it hit 99 then she wrote it down. My fiance also asked a RSV test too be performed on my son an it wasn't done. To make matters worse after this male doctor was done belittling my fiance he bragging about it too his colleagues. Also they didn't prescribe my son any medication or write his diagnosis on the paperwork my fiance was given instead they told her too take him too Scotland Memorial Hospital or you'll have a CPS case in the morning.

Went for a followup (2nd time ever) seeing Ms . Mitchell. She would not listen to me, she interrupted me, and talked over me. Told me she didn't have time to listen. Didn't have a test in notes that was done last time any record of it. She told me to find another doctor. Would not listen when I was trying to tell her about my situation. She raised her voice and told me that I wasted her time and everyone's time. I was very upset after this visit. She does not have good bedside manner and I have never had any kind of doctor behave, talk, or act like she did or treat me like she did. I asked her to take a stinger out of my arm where I had been stung and she refused. I asked her to do a test on me and she wouldn't. She wouldn't listen to me when I was wanting to tell her about my medical history. How can you treat someone when you don't listen to the patient? I do not recommend her.

Terrible place to go!!!! Website says open until 1:30, got there at 12:25. Parking lot had many cars, but no answer. Even tried to call and no answer. Feel sorry for Marlboro County citizens. If emergency happens, someone could die waiting. UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE!

I’ve been to them twice in six months for emergency cases. Both times seen Mrs. Mitchell would not recommend seeing her to anyone! Refused to see me today and the first time she misdiagnosed me. Does not listen or communicate with patients well!!

rude reception desk and slow staff. nothing is urgent about this place.
