I was down for a few years from a couple surgeries and I started to pick back up in life again this year. It’s been almost a decade since I fished regularly. When I was getting back into it I went to the Rod and gun in chetek, the service is AMAZING and the staff is very knowledgeable. They got me great quality gear for a very reasonable price. I took my wife there afterwards to get her geared up too! We were able to throw almost any fishing question we had at the guy and he was able to give us solid answers and advice. I plan on going to the Rod and gun for a long time to come! Thanks guys, you’re making life a little more fun for me again and it means the world!

This place has some good selection of minoes and lures and hats and shirts. All the stuff is reasonably priced. Me and my grandpa stop here 2-3 times every year when we come up for two weeks.

Friendly staff. Enjoyed talking about all the rifles and pistols. Live bait here in all sizes, and waxies. Ammo, arrows and all accessories you need for hunting or fishing. Even muzzle loader kit available. Neat assortment of mounted fish above the bait tanks. Whole wall full of lures just waiting to be tried! Come in, spend some time and get to know the employees, they will answer your questions.

I really, enjoyed this bait shop. Super friendly staff a great selection of bait and tackle as well as a massive bluegill mount and cool carved fish replicas. Highly recommended

This place is awesome I go to Chetek for vacation all the time and this place has everything you need and more, the employees gave us info on where to catch some fish and help whenever they can

I consider myself loyal to the Rod and Gun & Keg n Kork equally. Respect and support both. However, I don't drink nor do I own a vehicle, or require propane regularly. So I lean towards the sporting goods store. There are plenty of others who don't hunt, trap, or maintain there own gear, and need fuel smokes n boose. So understandably gas station for them. If there's a third option for bait n tackle I've never been there...👍😝

Ryan and his crew are great. Very helpful and the minnows are awesome very lively and durable. I don't buy minnows anywhere else.

Always get my fishing license from here when we are on vacation, love to support local businesses! Always get my bait and tackle here as well before I start fishing.

Just so y'all know, the fishing contest goes Friday to Friday. If you catch a massive fish, run it into these guys before you cut it up and get on the leader board.
