Fair, professional, well-run, family-owned truck repair. We'd been on the road, trailer in tow, for 3 days with our 7.3L diesel which had a persistent check engine light that could have signaled a serious engine problem. With a layover in Canon City, I stopped in and Dirk's was able to take time out of their busy schedule to run diagnostics and see what was going on. Fortunately, the repair was minor, so Dirk was able to get us back on the road.

Good, old fashioned professional service that is sorely missed these days. Highly recommended!

So far they've been nothing but fair and reasonable. Dirk and Daryl are both Johnny on the spot when it comes to emergency work. If you need something done in the shop in a hurry you may be disappointed because they are in demand. Excellent place to go though. Prices are fair. Work is superior.

We had a wheel seal on our semi that needed fixed while we were on a long haul. Their prices were very reasonable (less than what we would have paid at home). They treated us great and provide excellent service. They were very knowledgeable and had parts on hand. We would highly recommend them for truck repair.

Dirk and his son Daryl are top notch. I had my family in town from Ohio on a motor home trip. Ours is a diesel pusher and I was having some issues that they were able to diagnose and repair with the oil pressure and air conditioner. They got me in and out. I read the other two reviews and agree. Bring you problems here and rest assured your in good hands.

I was traveling from Woodland Park to Florence Colorado with my truck and trailer to pick up a vehicle. I stopped in Penrose for a beverage and noticed a unexpected oil leak on my truck. After further inspection I detected it was a major oil leak which coated the bottom of my truck including rear axle and trailer in motor oil. Luckily I had a gallon of oil with me and nearly used the whole container just to top it off. I googled nearest truck repair center and found Dirk's truck and equipment repair which was about 4 miles away. I knew I had to address this concern immediately before major damage was done. I called their shop and spoke with Dirk's daughter who is very pleasant and immediately got Dirk on the phone. He said bring it on over and asked me to pull my truck inside and started working on it shortly. It was the dipstick tube that connects to the oil pan seal was leaking profusely. Dirk worked on it for about 20 minutes and slow the oil leak down to a tolerable drip so I could be on my way back home without damaging my prized possession my lifted F-250. I could not believe the level of integrity and help this gentleman provided for me in a time of need and how personable he was as well. I want to share with everyone how rare this is and how grateful I am to you and your staff as well.

This is the place! I was stranded with a bad clutch near Penrose and asked a coworker for a recommendation for repairs. He told me that Dirk's was the place to go and he was right! Knowing that I was in a bind, Dirk took me in (on a Monday morning!) and went right to work. He did a terrific job, showed me what he had done and the damaged parts, and gave me a very fair price for his excellent work. FIVE STARS FOR DIRK'S!

If you want your semi-fixed right the first time bring it here they do everything from A to Z welding engine upgrades engine repair tune-ups oil changes Etc very knowledgeable mechanics don't waste your time getting ripped off somewhere else

The owner of this mechanic shop are ready always to work I went in for a brake chamber on my trailer we're leaking the owner had one of his mechanics to check it out and right away he was working on it got done in no time i am really amazed one of a kind man very few places I google a shop near where I was and it happen to be .1 mile away the owner is one of a kind very nice I would recommend this place to whoever is broken down this is the place to go.
