Very friendly staff that make it feel family owned and operated. They care a lot about their guests and the comfort of everyone. Swimwear is optional but most of the people we saw had bathing suits. It's in a pretty secluded location but the drive is gorgeous right in the middle of the mountains and there's multiple signs leading you up to it. It's very unassuming from the outside but very private and nice on the inside. They have several locking stalls that each have a toilet and shower with shower supplies

Very peaceful place to go. It is located off the main road so there is no street noise. There are several pools of varying temperatures. The main pools slopes in so it made it very easy for me to get into after I set my crutches down. The bathrooms are nice too, just wished they designated one for handicap.
I like that they have snacks available too.

I have come here to soak twice and really love the vibes. The staff is friendly, conscious and helpful. The facilities are great, newly updated and beautiful. It's quaint, but expansive, great views of the sunset and surrounding areas. The pool temperatures are very therapeutic and have a nice variety of size and privacy ranging from the larger pool with a beautiful rock wall feature to a smaller one with a little waterfall that feeds into it. Great company and typically very respectful attendees. And they have some really cute handcrafts in their gift shop as well as a fridge, snacks and water to refill your reusable water bottles! It's the nicest and closest hot spring to Pueblo, so we've been enjoying it very much.

I've been coming here for about a year and wanted to write a review after reading several on the recent 1 star reviews. I really appreciate how tightly they adhere to the rules, especially the "keep your voices to the minimum." I come several times a month to meditate, read, and relax...I don't want to hear every detail of other people's conversations, and sound tends to travel very well here. Also, for those of us that go nude, no one wants to end up as a photo on your cell phone. I've happily snitched on people who bring their phones because this is supposed to be a safe environment. The rules are pretty clear on the sign before you even walk in. This isn't Mt Princeton, Sand Dunes, or any other hot springs...keep your voice down or go somewhere else 🤷🏻‍♀

Otherwise, this is a unique place to go and reflect, relax, and heal from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The staff has always been extremely kind to me and the bathrooms are clean!

We booked a tiny home with private pool for a cold winter weekend getaway. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The main pools area is very unique with several to choose from. They are building more and updating so a bit of construction. We really enjoyed our private pool the most. The view of the desert valley from the tiny homes is amazing. The homes themselves are bare bones and could use some more amenities and comfort items like art on the walls, cozy blankets, robes, a small table to eat at, but the bed was comfortable and you are there for the hot springs. We love this place for it’s rules of no children and absolute quiet so we keep coming back for total serenity.

Such a beautiful place. It's off the beaten path and gives a great feeling of isolation from the rest of the world. We appreciated the adult only atmosphere even if we didn't partake in the clothing optional experience.
Pools and changing areas were clean with a variety of many pools (and privacy levels) for your preference.
Gift shop was helpful and had lots of cute gifts and healthy snacks.
Will definitely visit again!

We stayed one night in one of the tiny homes. We arrived the day after a huge snowstorm, and so it was a bit muddy but we were prepared for that. The check in process was super easy and quick, and the staff gives you a wagon to bring your stuff to your lodging, which was very helpful since ours was the furthest away. They explained any rules and the lay of the land on the way.

The tiny home itself is adorable. It was very clean and comfortable. There are two heating options so even though it was very cold, we were comfortable during our stay. It also had it's own private two person hot spring/tub which was recommended to use during the sunrise. We took that advice and it was so beautiful looking out onto the snow covered hills.

During the evening hours, we utilized the main pool as it was a Saturday and relatively busy in all of the pool options. However, we never felt crowded and everyone was pleasant and respectful.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend staying onsite if you can.

My girlfriends and I booked a weekend stay in Saguaro tiny house. We loved our space to stay with amazing morning view & clear night skies. We enjoyed the diverse pools to soak & the clean shower facilities. There are epic mountain biking trails, the Gorge and a local winery near by. The staff really cares about the property & providing their guests with a quality experience.

My friend and I spent a night in a tiny home at Desert Reef and had the most relaxing and amazing time! We lucked out and had the entire place to ourselves! The place was wonderful, bed was cozy and pools were clean and hot! Staff was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed and kept all of the pools at wonderful temperatures for us! If you are looking for a relaxing experience not to far away from Colorado Springs-this is the place for you!

I loved our time at Desert Reef. The staff are amazing and the facility is super clean. We stayed two nights in a tiny house and had a wonderful time. The personal pools were worth the price to stay in. This location is so tranquil and relaxing. This was the perfect location for me and my partner to spend some time together.

Yes yes yes. This place is excellent. A great recharge spot. Also, this was a very safe and inclusive space for all types of people.
I visited on a sold out holiday day, and even at full capacity it wasn't crowded feeling.
There are a few refreshments available like coconut water (and plenty of free cold water).
Some of the patrons were a bit over chatty at "I can definitely hear you" volume about their life drama, and the staff was more than happy to help intervene.
LGBTQIA+ friendly. Call ahead if you have any questions. They are very helpful on the phone.

I stayed in the Hedgehog tiny home for a few nights. I absolutely loved the house as well as the hot springs. Everything was clean, and the staff was so nice. My favorite part was the private pool outside of the tiny house. The views of the mountains and the stars are incredible! I went for a solo trip to de-stress from the world, and this was exactly what I needed. I can’t wait to come back!

I am writing this review inspired by my interaction with the front desk worker Eric. He was very kind, welcoming, and keen to answer my various questions about the hot spring mineral makeup and history of the location. He also helped me plan some other attractions for my stay in Colorado Springs.

Of course, my raw rating of the place would be 4 stars because while all of its amenities are nice and clean, it’s not a “Mount Princeton” experience. I came here in lieu of Princeton for lack of time to make it out there on my vacation. However, Desert Reef hit the spot and it was perfectly clean, calm, and relaxing. Great assortment of drinks and snacks at their kiosk too.

Thank you so much Eric!!

Such a neat tucked away oasis. It was very well kept, clean, and welcoming. Although I love children, this is a wonderful opportunity to get some R&R without the chaos of kiddos.

Really nice relaxing get away. Place is very cute & the tubs are hot. No children allowed which is great for a relaxing in a quiet environment. Staff was friendly, felt like other guests were also respectful. Felt like the no handholding / hugging rule is a little over the top since it’s a clothing optional facility.

Absolutely perfect! I highly recommend staying in the tiny homes! They were so nice and the private soaking pool was a dream! We relaxed in our pool through the night listening to the coyotes.

What a fantastic find this was for our recent mtn biking trip! Beautiful accommodations, friendly and helpful staff, and lovely pools. Almost didn't want to write a review in case word gets out about this magical place- as I want to be able to come back often! :-). Enjoy!

Desert Reef was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hot springs and shower/restrooms were clean. Well worth the drive. Would recommend to family and friendly. We purchased a splash pass at the end. Can’t wait to go back.

This is a wonderful, private hot springs in the middle of the desert. Very relaxing vibe, so it isn't the place to go if you have a group and are looking to be chatty. The facilities were clean and well stocked. My wife and I are already looking forward to our next trip to Desert Reef.
