While browsing here with a friend, the man minding the shop asked if we knew what “alpha girls” are. When we said no, he went on to explain “they think they’re cool, and they’re all vegetarians and they disrespect men. Alpha girls will be sorry when the Holocaust comes because men will be getting their respect back.” Which is a pretty bizarre comment to make after telling us the linens were 20% off (25% if you buy 5!).

We had walked all the way through the shop and back to the front before he started this line of conversation, we had just been discussing the cast iron selection and I have no idea what would have made him decide to say this to us. I’d give zero stars if possible, I don’t like feeling vaguely threatened while shopping.

Passing off modern reproduction knives as vintage Italian knives. Really hard pill to swallow getting ripped off like this.
He had such a cool store with a great inventory of cool furniture but then ruined the vibe selling me this 80s Italian switchblade that is a modern Chinese knockoff.
