Maria's Italian Restaurant and Pizza

Wow! What an experience. We’ve lived here for so long and kept passing this place. I’m so glad we finally tried it! The sauce is excellent! It fills a whole in our hearts from the home town Italian joints we grew up with. Great staff, very quick service. This place is a Bellefonte Gem. Try the lasagna!

I love this place! This has been my nice little secret spot away from State College since I’ve been a student. I especially love the Garlic Parmesan wings! Ashley, the store manager, is really friendly and conversational!

Great food, attentive service, and modest yet comfortable atmosphere. The bread, rolls, and pizza dough are house made and so fresh. Our party had soups, salads, pizza slices, and steak sandwich and all were so tasty!

Ended up here on the drive home when our original choice was closed and we are so glad we did! We have young kids and had the best service. Offered to cut the slice of pizza up, bring more napkins, and bring the kids' meals out as soon as they were ready. Yes please! Clearly they deal with families enough that they knew what we need. Our waitress was just great. Plus the food was fantastic. The cheesesteak roll was amazing as was the pizza dough. I usually leave the last inch of a roll if there is nothing in it, but not here. Worth every bite.

I love tye pizza crust and the toppings were so good! The waitress was exceptionally nice and cleaned the tables thoroughly.

We tried the lasagna and neopolitan ragu and they were so good. A lot of the food is made in house so you know it's fresh. The staff is so friendly and kind. Def recommend stopping here if you're in town.

We ordered two pasta dishes, Pesto Rigatoni's 4.5 and Penna Alfredo 4.5. Petty good portion, both sauces were homemade and delish! Dinners include choice of homemade bread or garlic bread (to die for), small side salad and I recommend the house Italian dressing. Bill wasn't shocking. Highly recommended!

Great small family restaurant. I think I even saw Maria! We enjoyed an absolutely delicious BBQ chicken and got a sub to take home. I loved the homemade bread and thick cut meat used in the sub. Genuinely can't wait to go back and try something new!

Probably the most consistently good service and food quality in town. My favorite is the Italian Special, a very generous portion of meats on delicious house-made rolls. Their rolls/pizza crusts are the best in town. Their pizza is also one of the 2 best in town as well. Actually everything we have had has been quite good. But oh that Italian Special with banana peppers! Yum! We get takeout there often. Would recommend.

Stopped for lunch during a long drive. Great pizza! Great prices! Their dough and rolls are made fresh onsite. Employee are very friendly! 5 minutes (less than 4 miles) from I80. The desserts aren't homemade, but very good!

Have visited several times for dine in and carry out. The dough for subs/wedges is excellent. Their sauce is great. Easy enough to take the kids - only wish they delivered!

Tried the pizza with all of the toppings on it, can’t remember the name, maybe Marias special? Anyways, it was AMAZING! Crust was perfect and supported all of those delicious toppings so well! Will definitely be back!

We had the lasagna and fettuccine Alfredo, both meals were great. Service was great. Food portions very satisfying and served got. Three meals in and out within an hour. Price was very appropriate.
