Elk Creek Cafe + Aleworks

Truly delighted to find such a fantastic brewpub in a small town! Elk Creek showcases cozy environment, friendly service, outstanding food and most impressively, excellent local bands.

We went on a Thursday around 6:30 to see a performance. The place was about 80% full with front row tables still available. We ordered a salad, roasted shishito peppers, and fish & chips. Everything was delicious and made of fresh and high quality ingredients.

There’s no cover but do bring cash to tip the band. The concert was fantastic. Seeing the crew perform with such passion just made the whole experience much more enjoyable.

Will definitely come back again and again!

We've been a few times now and always have been very pleased with the food and the service. Beer is good too.
Good live music too. This seems like the only place in the area that regularly books quality live shows. (My bias of Americana) . But it's not only style, it's quality musicians. Hezekiah Jones was great!!

I only wish it were closer to State College. We'd be there a whole lot more. But it is worth the drive for sure.

Our salad was heavenly along with delicious chicken in the stick. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm along with quiet music in background. Worth your visit.

I have been here three times. I have had amazing food each time. The beer is good, staff is nice and it is interesting to sit and watch many Amish buggies go by. Not much in town, but it's a beautiful drive from State College. I would love to go back for the live music, I hear it is pretty good. 5 stars and an all-time favorite!

Great brewery! Some very flavourful brews I really liked the double rainbow IPA! Tuesday nights are local which was when we went but everyone helped us feel at home! By far one of the best breweries in the area that we have found so far!

I never heard of Millheim, PA nor would I have ever expected to find such a great place like this between Lewistown and State College. I had had their signature burger and my colleague had Elk's fish fry. Both items hit the spot. The burger was fantastic!!!

A cosy place with a lot of live concerts. I've visited it during lunch-time, there was plenty of place and the service was prompt. Crab cakes were delicious!

We've been going to Elk Creek for years. The beer is reliably excellent - never had a bad one - and the food under Chef Cutty is delicious, innovative, and largely locally sourced. The live music program is ridiculously good, from local artists to regional names on their way up. Not exaggerating; we moved to this town because of Elk Creek Café.

We stopped in on a whim on our way through the area. We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary.Unfortunately, we arrived prior to a sold out event but staff still welcomed us in to grab a quick drink at the bar. When we went to pay out tab we saw we had a drink comped for our anniversary. What a thoughtful gesture!❤ We will definitely be back for dinner in the near future. A gem of a place in a rural little town

Great food and by far some of the best local brewed beers around.

We have held many special events here, graduations, birthdays etc and always have been treated royally. We have also bellied up to the bar in flannels after a long day of fishing and greeted like long last friends. The beer is well done. The food excellent. You may sit next to a forester on the right and a CEO on the left.... and both will be great conversationalists.

Excellent experience. Great food, drink, atmosphere and service. Local food and craft beer is great. We came for brunch and it did not disappoint. We had multiple people get the Eggs Benedict and they agreed it was the best in the area. Highly recommend Elk Creek Cafe.
