Cafe Americana

DELICIOUS (and very reasonably priced) dinner was enjoyed by our family tonight! Arrived at 6:50p and the restaurant was empty- not a single patron. Not only was the food great but the presentation was top notch (see pics). Do yourself a favor and try anything on the menu- you will not disappointed!

Don’t let the fact that Cafe Americana is in a shopping center prevent you from trying them out for breakfast!! Their food and service rival other restaurants in more historic districts of Kennett Square, and the prices are great!

My breakfast was served on matching white stoneware, and my beverages were in actual glass glasses— not what I expected in a strip mall joint! And, my apple juice came in a full size glass!

The scrambled eggs were just as I like them — “dry,” the sausage was delicious, and the home fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. But the star was the French toast. It was marvelous with nothing but powdered sugar on it! (Syrup pitchers are on the tables, and there are other topping options.)

My server was very attentive, and everything in the restaurant was so clean!

By the by, not only can you get a fabulous breakfast at Cafe Americana, you can also get tacos!

We ordered takeout tonight for dinner. It was ready on time, hot, and tasty. The cobb salad and mushroom soup were great, but the Rachel sandwich was really excellent. It got us talking about going back soon to try some other menu items.

I just hope that they fix some of the issues with their DoorDash menu so that I can order online easier in the future.

Had a daily special chicken ranchero frittata. loved it. Always a great breakfast here!

I think hole in the wall restaurants will always be the best. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was very pleasant!

BEST MUSHROOM SOUP!! So rich and creamy, peppery and chock full of a beautiful blend of local mushrooms. Don’t miss it!

Neat little place to eat. Had the French onion soup and shrimp tacos. The soup was real French onion. The shrimp tacos were delicious but lacking shrimp. Pieces of shrimp were there but they were well hidden. Next time I may try breakfast.

Superb restaurant, reasonable prices. The new owners have done a great job with this restaurant. Food is first rate!

I absolutely love it here and never have had a bad experience. Food is delicious and very affordable. Their coffee is some of the best diner coffee I have ever had. Usually get takeout from here and it stays fresh until I get home, which I find is usually a rarity for eggs over easy. Plus, the to-go coffee cup has a little sailboat on the sleeve which I just think is so neat!

We love this place!!! I always get their empanadas. They are out-of-this-world delicious! I recommend getting rice be as your side and pouring the dipping sauce over it! So scrumptious! They have a nice mix of North and South American cuisine. I love atmosphere, too. It's decorated kind rustic farmhouse/industrial. The wait staff is always friendly and accommodating.

Excellent decor. Fast and friendly service. Food was almost orgasmic. Breakfast served all day. Dinner at 4pm. Price was more than reasonable. Spent $10 per person for 3 adults.
Light and fluffy French toast with a nice size piece of ham on the side and delicious home fries. Definitely on my family's list of go to spots.

This is truly an awesome place. We went here second time yesterday with our kid and also brought friends along.
Everything from food to service is amazing. The staff is so good and they truly love what they do. The chef is awesome and does magic with food😄. It is also a great place to bring your kid. Yesterday, they had window markers for kids using which kids can draw on the huge glass window that faces the street. My son was so pleased and finished his food quickly to bring out the artist in him. He used the markers to his hearts delight. We have never seen any shop do that and we loved it. Our friends loved the place too.

The food and service was fantastic! It’s a quaint spot with so much character, and it’s a cozy spot to enjoy breakfast! We loved it!

Tried this cafe for the first time. Was looking for a healthy meal option that day. We sat outside (they had both indoor and outdoor seating). Menus are available using a QR code on the table. I tried the avocado salad. It was fresh and a nice change. The dressing was mild (probably could use a little lime and a touch of salt to lift the taste, but still was satisfactory). Others at the table got wraps and they enjoyed those as well. It's nice to have a menu different than every other diner or cafe. Will definitely visit again!

Great atmosphere, the owner is truly passionate about his customers and their dining experience. The cook comes up with amazing daily specials.

This is a must try spot in Kennett Square, a hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center. Don't let its location fool you on what's inside.

A talented chef, great portions, and the price? You won't find something this good anywhere else.

The food came quickly and was nice and hot. The food was decent. No complaints :)!
