Michi Sushi cafe

Michi sushi cafe is a hidden gem in west chester. Located right next to acme, I usually find myself ordering take out from this restaurant during lunch. They usually have the most amazing deals while still being good quality food! I hope they never change their great deals. This time though I decided to come in for lunch and try something new!

Our waitress was very nice and got our waters very fast.

Our food arrived in a timely manner. I ordered the chicken curry with white rice bento box lunch special. It comes with tempura vegetables, shumai, and a four piece California roll. The tempura vegetables were fried perfectly. The shumai was equally crispy and was one of my favorites! The California roll nicely balanced out the heavily fried aspect of the box. You can really tell how good a restaurant is by their rice and the rice was cooked perfectly!

As for the chicken curry, I think I may have misinterpreted what I was going to get. The chicken was more on the boiled side of things, which is not my favorite. I had to set the chicken to the side. The sautéed vegetables however made up for that! Mildly spicy curry sauce, which was more of a clear sauce with some speckled seasonings. I personally would not order it with chicken. Maybe I’ll try it with shrimp or just stick with the vegetables instead.

The fantastic roll was absolutely delicious! As well as the spicy crab roll. Their sushi rolls are always addicting! I would always find myself ordering their signature eagle roll because of how unique the roll is. The roll is fried with cream cheese center! The eagle roll plays well on your palate with all of the different textures and flavors.

I will always recommend Michi! Can not wait to visit again!

We ordered take out 3/15/24 for dinner we had an order of crab Rangoon to start, I had shrimp in garlic sauce my son had General Tso’s chicken extra spicy and my husband had chicken in garlic sauce all were combination entrees. We were very pleased, everything was absolutely delicious from the crab Rangoon, egg rolls that came with our meals. It was absolutely delicious since my son & I became loyal customers since 2012.

I ordered the sesame chicken and the fantastic roll and it was better than any other place I’ve been to! It’s fresh and great quality! The service is great and would highly recommend!

Michi has been my family’s go-to sushi restaurant for about 5 years. When it comes to Michi, we usually order takeout for dinner, though it’s a good place to have a quick lunch to catch up with a friend. This whole time Michi has delivered consistently great food and fast service at reasonable prices. I included a photo of our typical dinner takeout: 6 rolls and 6 pieces of fish, for a total cost of about $50 including tax and tip. Note how generous they are with putting a lot of fish in their rolls. The fish is always fresh and it is clear they get a good turnover. The only downside is their presentation: the rolls are sometimes misshapen and broken, but that’s a minor issue. My family feels lucky to live close to this quality sushi restaurant.

The food is very affordable. My mother and I both got the lunch special and it ended up being only $23 in total. The lunch special had plenty of food, and it was all really nice quality.

Food and prices can't be beat. Nice clean environment and quick service. I do think overall the meal and experience would be so much better if the servers were a bit more welcoming. I have been going there for many years and have never seen a single server smile ever.

The owner is very friendly and warm and welcoming. Waitstaff dispositiins aside, this place is a hidden gem and has been my quick go to place for take out and dine in for years now. Highly recommend!

Stopped here for dinner with my parents on 4/7/23. We were welcomed by a nice young woman who brought us to our table. We then were met with our server who was absolutely amazing, the daughter of the owners of Michi Sushi as I been a loyal customer since 2012 when this awesome establishment opened. Now to the food, it's absolutely wonderful every time. We started off with crab rangoons as an starter, then the three of us ordered Dinner Boxes, my mother had chicken w/ garlic sauce, she raved how delicious her meal was, my father had chicken satay, he was very happy with his and I had General Tso's chicken extra spicy, the best ever! All three of us had fried rice with our boxes. We all enjoyed our dinner. The lovely family who runs this establishment are truly special, professional and so pleasant. As a Culinarian/Foodie, I Highly Recommend Michi Sushi for your spectacular meal! Tell them Charlie sent ya!

Michi is a go to favorite! The sushi is always so fresh, delicious, and almost melts in your mouth. The staff and owners are attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Michi for take out or dine in.

I have been a patron of this restaurant for the last 4 years. They have always been fantastic, and have only improved the already excellent experience of their customers during this time.

This is definitely one of the best local sushi spots. Friends of mine have hosted birthday parties at this location, and the staff were even kind enough to bring the cake out as a surprise.
These days there are not many restaurants out there that are dedicated to their craft for the sake of your dining experience.
Michi however- is a reputable establishment where I know they are truly dedicated to bringing you wonderful food, service, and overall local dining experience.

Great Japanese and other Asian fusion food. They always have excellent sushi. They are great for takeout and dine in and are fairly reasonably priced. It has been one of our favorite spots in the area for years. I highly recommend any of the "dinner box" entrees.

This was amazing. Fresh, friendly, the lunch Bento was the best I have had.

Food is always amazing and fresh; even when you order takeout, presentation is wonderful. Prices are good, and staff is always friendly, even when COVID-19 restrictions were fully in place. Inside of the restaurant is pleasant and has a wonderful atmosphere.

Sushi's very fresh here !!! This is one of the best restaurants I've been to for hibachi. They bring out the food with excellent quality and quick so you're in-and-out of this place and got a good meal. The prices are also very affordable and you know that when you get your food it's gonna be great. Staff is really on top of cleaning and getting dishes and plates out of the way, and they basically make it feel comfortable for you in there, it's such a small little restaurant with a modernized look,definetly one of the best around town.

I eat at this place at least once a week because it is sooo good. I have never had a bad experience. Staff is friendly and prompt. The sushi is so good I never want to try anything else, but I am sure it is all good. The atmosphere is nice inside too and is nice to sit and eat.

Hands down the best sushi I ever had. Staff is excellent and service is great. They are all super kind and friendly and all the food we've tried in the several times we have been here is awesome. Definitely recommend!!

I’m all about the “buy one, get one half off” of their special rolls! Delicious! The eagle roll is by far my favorite. They recently renovated the place (as in a year or so ago) and it’s very nice inside. Their takeout order is never wrong. They do charge extra for side sauces (i.e., eel sauce, spicy mayo, etc.) which is annoying considering other local places don’t, but that’s probably my only complaint! It’s a great byob or takeout option!

I'm a regular here. I go almost once a week and it's good basic sushi at a really good price. I love the house roll and dragon roll. Always fresh and the staff is very friendly.
