Their furnace tech Brian is fast, efficient, and very friendly. Other companies were trying to sell me a new water heater or furnace. Brian was able to boil out the coil and now my water pressure is as good as new. Cost was far less than I expected! A+ Service.

I have used Butler Family Auto to deliver oil the last few years. Despite being quite far away from them they always deliver and are some of the kindest and most pleasant people to interact with. Cannot recommend enough!

There prices are amazing, there fast, reliable, on time, and when you have an emergency they will get right to you. I hadnt used them before and we needed our tank changed and they didnt hesitate to come right out look at the job. They got the job done in a timely manner, and they did a great job. You would never even realize that they only have one full time guy and one in training right now. They won me over and this is where i'm gonna stay. You should give them a call and ask them how much there oil prices are. You will be surprised when you hear! :)

Great and honest family repair shop and fuel delivery service. Gas prices are always the lowest in Barton (typically the NEK) and they're full service. They're willing to help you out even when they don't have time, and they put everyone first. They've delivered my oil since I moved I bought my house over 3 years ago and they're extremely reliable. We called to put in an order Friday, and they said they'll get to us by Thursday. I got home Monday and they had already came! :) ☆☆☆☆☆ This almost always happens. They don't fix furnaces etc, but if you need fuel delivery, call them. I've brought my beater cars and flat tires to them on many occasions and they always help me out and get me back on the road for next to nothing. I truly appreciate them and they're excellent service.

Started getting my heating oil from them this year. Great company to deal with, very friendly and very accommodating in getting us oil when we need it, unlike the company we dealt with in st johnsbury. And the icing on the cake was even though they are further away, they had better prices than our local oil companies and were way more friendly.

After moving from Stowe and paying over $100 for an oil change (much to my chagrin), they were able to change it for about half of that price. I have come back here for regular maintenance and they always have given us amazing service.

The real reason I decided to write this review is actually not for a car they fixed, but for how well they handled my car when they didn’t have the proper diagnostic tool. I brought my car in after it refusing to start for more than 3 seconds at a time, and thinking I may have to foot an enormous bill.I decided to go in and chat with the mechanic who had looked at my car, and he seem genuinely excited/ interested to be able to talk to me about what he had determined this far, even though he wasn’t able to fix the problem. He had done extra research online outside of running a diagnostic, had checked my fuses (even replaced one for me), recharged my battery for me, reset the diagnostics readout, and didn’t ask me to pay a CENT. He even divulged that he had refrained from ordering an expensive part that he thought could potentially solve my problem, and suggested I bring it to someone who was able to get a proper readout before anything
was done to it. The integrity and generosity of these guys still astounds me.

But it doesn’t even end there: I returned to their garage today and miraculously managed to get it started again. Another mechanic (who had actually removed a dragging piece of plastic on my car for no charge) came out to move his truck so I could more easily pull my car out, and was kind enough to listen to my car as well as get in and make sure the engine revving didn’t sound off.

They did all of this for me without asking me to pay a thing, I will forever bring my car to them and always recommend Butler Family Auto to all of my friends and family.

My alternator was failing while up in Barton for the weekend leaf peeping. There was absolutely no way for me to return home to Mass. They were the closest and only repair shop open on Saturday. I made it to the shop before 8a.m. and talked to the owner, told him my problem and he was able to fix my car in less than 2 hours !! Even my husband said they were very reasonable with the price. I couldn't thank them enough for taking care of me so quickly. Thanks again !!

Great people here in Barton, VT, just had the car fixed for a good price. I decided to have them fix an additional item, so I was asked to return the next day without paying for the work done. A handshake still holds meaning! Thanks Butler Family Auto.

These guys are the nicest! They let us park here for an entire weekend in August 2004 so we could walk to Coventry. The car didnt need any work but I'm sure they run a tight shop!
