The Abbey Pub and Restaurant

I simply cannot say how wonderful everything about this experience was. A group of extended family from 5 states and 4 generations came together to enjoy drinks and lunch. Trish? and one other server, plus kitchen staff were able to accommodate nearly 30 people (we expected 15). Everyone in our group was well taken care of from drinks to apps and entrees. We were fairly disorganized in terms of ordering beverages but the Abbey team was on top of it. Taking individual orders, dealing with dietary restrictions and then serving all meals within 10 minutes of one another with only one minor hiccup was fantastic! The food was exceptional from bacon wrapped scallops to the hot prime rib sandwich. There was no rush put on us and we felt like valued guests. The warm feeling all left with was followed by compliments to the gatherings organizers for selecting such a perfect spot for our special family event. Thank you to everyone from the Abbey Pub and Restaurant.

We went here out of the blue, first location and outside area both beautiful. Inside a bit different than what you would expect, the venue area is perfect for any occasion seriously!! The bar area a bit small, has game table room that you can close off, bathroom clean, service was on point. Food needs seasoning, but was good. Drinks are priced well.

Super cool place snowmobile friendly very accommodating the bar is really cool where they have office chairs versus regular bar stools staff is great great variety of pub food and awesome desserts

Just left there, 8-6-21. First time customers, all food was good, service was probably the worst experience we ever had. Ordered Prime rib, when the dinners came out she (Ashley) says they didn't have enough for both of us, so one was a half portion, and they would discount it. Fine time to tell us! I asked where's the salads and rolls, she says they forgot them, they came out half way through the dinner. Another waitress offered a free round of drinks, or desert, to compensate, we said we'd think about it. That was the last we heard on that and when we got the bill I mentioned it to our gal, she just shrugged her shoulders, provided a blank stare......will take out business elsewhere

8-28-22, back again for another try, taking some friends along and the food was as good as last year, service was so much better, thank you again Autumn. A great experience, this will get back there more often......

Reservations for bar area actually at bar for 6. Worked out good. Enjoyed the live music, Food and Great service!

Outstanding! The prime rib specials were generous and delicious AND fairly priced. We will be back!

We have been a few times this year it was excellent food and great personality and very friendly by staff and owner and they made sure we had everything we needed. They made us feel very welcome.

Was pleasantly surprised!! It’s been hit or miss the last few times but this was probably the best ever!! The food was delicious there were 10 people in out party and everyone had nothing but good things to say!! I will not only go back but will recommend especially to people that haven’t been there in awhile.

Ate from the Age Well menu: burger in a bun and lettuce and onion and tomato. A glass of water with two lemon slices Very good and so was the conversation with the server and another guy !
Of course, I’ll return…..

What a cool place with indoor and outdoor dining. Live music, food was unexpectedly very good. I say that because it's out in the middle of nowhere. Staff were awesome...very attentive and seemed to care very much about our experience. I had the prime rib....yummmmmm Good find....you won't be disappointed.

In from out of state We stopped in for lunch after golfing . The food , beer , service and prices were excellent. I’ll definitely bring the wife we’re for lunch or dinner the time we’re here big burgers and fresh f/f . Very satisfied with this restaurant thank you

Attended the Easter 2022 Buffet. Excellent food selections, excellent service and accomodations. My daughter is disabled, and sensitive to noise, so they allowed us to enjoy the buffet from the Pub area, which was empty at that time. Thank you!

Very friendly local Pub/Restaurant

The people were all so nice , even when I hit my head on their low lights over the table when I went to sit down. We ordered a chicken tender meal and omg there was so much fries and three big tenders. You should check them out.

Small Town watering hole vibes. If you're looking for a quick bite, you won't find it here. The food was hot and fresh, and the service was friendly and accommodating. You will have a bit of a wait, though. No big deal if you're not in a hurry.

Large plates, built to share. Formal seating and event space as well as chill bar area.

Didn't go in the "Abbey". We were in the Pavillion down a steep hill nearer the river. Very nice building open on three sides. The day was very warm and an open building was good. Don't know what it would be like on a cold day. Must be able to walk up and down hill!

Lovely atmosphere, The Abbey is always set for the occasions and time of year, decor is comforting and beautiful at the same time. Ordered the Fish&Chips-I consider myself a seafood aficionado -being raised on the ocean, and this will now be on the top of my list and I will recommend to all I know. Looking forward to my return trip to The Abbey!

10-24.18 We just came in again tonight and once again it was amazing. I had the Abbey Top Sirloin Steak and my wife had the fish n chips. My Abbey Steak was so juicy and tender. My wife ranks her fish n chips as one the best she has ever had. Keep in mind she is Irish and from Cape Cod MA! We were also able to watch the World Series and Boston take game two! With over 10 beers on tap it was hard to choose what kind of beer I was going to enjoy my steak and the game with. Anyone reading this, I hope you stop by for Game three tonight 10.26.18. You can rest assured that the game will be playing on the four big screens around the family friendly pub.

I had the most amazing lobster roll last night. Made from fresh local sustainable lobster. Served in a beautifully toasted new england roll. They also have around 12 craft brews on tap. The service was outstanding. Very friendly staff. I will be back for sure. You have to just love summer. Finished the night with a pontoon ride on Lake Carmi with my wife.

The Abbey Restaurant is a big supporter for the community. I am a volunteer for Franklin Fire Department. The Abbey Restaurant has stepped up to the plate for over 20 years donating equipment and supplies as well as making our salads for our annual chicken bbq. Without The Abbey Restaurant's help the pancake breakfast would have never happened. The pancake breakfast is one of our biggest fundraising events serving nearly 2,000 people. In our early years they donated everything we needed for equipment and as theis event grew we started purchasing our own equipment. Thank you Abbey Restaurant for your continued support for our community.

Sunday morning brunch at The Abbey is a favorite when my husband and I visit his mother, and we never have to guess where to go when we get hungry. Not only is the food incredible, but the building is gorgeous, the staff is superb, and the views alone are worth visiting for. We've made a new tradition of going there, and tell everyone we know to do the same!
