The people here are so nice, very vibrant communicative staff. We called in to ask if they had any availability an hour out and they accommodated us to the fullest extent! Very fast kayak launch. We all were commenting on how it is amazing that not a lot of people were out on Labor Day weekend. Please go kayaking with them! It was a beautiful experience, gorgeous views of mountains. We saw a great blue heron. Thank you again!

If you love to fish and have never been to Five Mountain Outfitters you are missing out. Brian goes out of his way to help his customers with his friendly attitude and fishing knowledge in several aspects of fishing. His prices on fishing gear are unbeatable. I would highly recommend a visit to FMO to any and all fisherman.

We did 7 mile kayak trip That was great great great time for us first time have been there,We talk like a we found out !! There atmosphere great, water flow great, scenery great and good for kayak beginners too you should try to go, If you looking for some places to do that👍 my friend and I 100% highly recommend Thank you so much Brian 😄 Also the restaurant was awesome too where you recommended.

We always use Brian as our kayak shuttle when we paddle into Shickshinny. He is reliable and knowledgable of both kayaking and the Susquehanna. He is also community minded. He welcomes cyclists riding thru on Warrior Trail too. More local business owners should follow suit. Plus, check out his shop. Top of line for rentals and purchases. It is always a pleasure to do business with him. Thanks Brian!

I should have taken a picture, the place is beautiful. Two floors! The lower floor is mostly kayaks while the upstairs is a fully stocked tackle shop. Prices were fantastic. To give you an idea his Berkley Max Scent Flat Worms are $2 less than Bass Pro and he has all the good colors. For anyone with a kayak that wants to float the Susquehanna, he runs a shuttle where he will drop you off up river and you can float your way back down to the Shickshinny boat launch. Just make sure you check with Brian about this first. Make sure he is going to be available.

Is awesome and it has everything you need. I bought a dry bag and a cooler and I love it. I would definitely go again the view was wonderful and I don’t have a bad thing to say at all. Lots of fun. Try it out 🥰

Brian and the rest of the staff at Five Mountain Outfitters were friendly and gave us great tips on how to make the most of the trip down the river. It's a nice route with a few small islands where you can stop and watch some of the herons fly by. I had such a fun time that I wish we went on the longer trip!

Renting kayaks here is easy. Be sure to call ahead for weather conditions and reservations. The staff explains the route on a map, then you drive to the launch point. We did the short trip which was calm and had great views. All the equipment was clean and in good condition. Brian, the owner, gave us helpful tips.

Rented kayaks today, they are equipped for fishing and paddling. Brian and Dan are awesome, very knowledgeable, and they handle the drop off and pick up. The paddle was around 7.5 miles and took a little over 3 hours with some stops for lunch and rock skipping. We saw some bald eagles, heron, and plenty of jumping fish. Had an awesome day.

What a great place!! Everything you could possibly need for fishing and kayaking. My two daughters and I rented kayaks and had a great day on the river. Super friendly staff and very convenient shuttle ride to the boat landing.
Will definitely be back again in the fall for another trip down the river!

Gorgeous paddle down the river, and the guys at Five Mountain couldn’t be nicer! We rented kayaks to go down the Susquehanna, and spent around 4hrs on the river. Really reasonable prices for the four of us, and it’s literally door to door service. They drive you up to one boat access to put you in, and pick you up 7.5mi downriver when you’re done. It’s a stunning paddle past dramatic cliffs and tons of wildlife.

The owner, Brian, is the nicest guy too - he knows a lot about the river and the town. He totally knew where we would see bald eagles! (Also the store has cute Shickshinny gear, and I got a $7 drybag that saved my phone/life.) Definitely glad we booked in advance. Bring lots of water and plenty of sunscreen!

Just went kayaking through Five Mountain Outfitters and it was such a great experience. Not only is it beautiful but the owner, Brian is extremely friendly and helpful. He also was prompt in returning calls, emails and answering all my questions. Will definitely be back!

I had a great trip from start to finish, scheduling was easy and there were timeslots available. The shop was great and had a very extensive selection of fishing gear and every lure you could imagine. The kayaks were in great shape and very comfortable, the ride to the launch point was comfortable, and loading and unloading was very easy. We had a great day on the river. I will be returning soon!

I've been coming here since I started getting back into fishing and Brian has helped me out in every way. Weather it was picking out baits for the current weather pattern or water levels and clarity, to helping me pick out rods based off of my experience. And answering every question I've asked with patience and honesty. They've got a great selection of kayaks and and more, from rods and reels to artificial baits and live one's. Five Mountain, and the owner Brian, were absolutely amazing. It was super easy to get the kayaks to the river (only 3 minutes away), and it was only $40 for 5 1/2 hours on the River. I would highly recommend!

Very accommodating and convenient. Simple process to rent a boat, get dropped off and picked up. The views were great and the river was perfect for a beautiful float. Great customer service and i would recommend using Five Mountain Outfitters for a day on the water. The shop also had a great selection of fishing gear.

I’m super happy with my kayak! The staff at Five Mountain Outfitters were super helpful installing my j cradles and showing me how to load the kayak. I will definitively return for any accessories or help with my boat. It feels good supporting a small business instead of a big box store
