My husband and I love our date nights to Cafe Mir. Taco Tuesday is amazing. The margaritas are soooo tasty. Weekend menus never disappoint! Happy to support a local restaurant with unique menu items that get us to try different flavor combinations!

What an amazing meal and experience had by all! Michelin Star quality found in Fertile, Iowa! Thanks Freddy & Co. for an amazing night out with family. The shrimp was OUT OF THIS WORLD!

I have never had a bad meal at Cafe Mir. Service has always been Excellent & Menli is my favorite she is so kind to everyone.
I recommend this restaurant to anyone I know passing through the area. The prices are reasonable if you consider the quality of the food & the flavor!!
Also, you will have leftovers as the food is very filling.

Eclectic little gem. The mid century modern decor is so welcoming and adorable. Taco Tuesday was delicious. The margarita was too tart for my liking but it paired well with the salsa and guacamole. I loved my ceviche and my fish tacos so I’m absolutely curious to taste their other items off their menu.

The food was incredible here, the sauces & oils were definitely cracked. Like...actual crack. So glad we have this place here in Iowa. Food was and IS top-tier.
I would like to add, there should be some type of etiquette signage to *please* be considerate of others and the noise level in the small room. We had reservations, and the room was full of other people. There was a group at a full table that were clearly making up the majority of the noise in the room, like yelling-shouting level of talking. Clearly the other people in the room were annoyed that this party of people were being exceedingly louder than most parties I've ever witnessed, which made our experience incredibly frustrating considering I was sitting inches from the loudest man that wouldn't stop cussing and shouting at his highest decibel. I just wish a waiter would have politely asked the table to tone down and be considerate of the other people in the room! Even the lady across from me made a comment about the noisy table. Anyway, I know this is NOT the restuarants fault, and does not change the quality of the food! Just got unlucky with the group of people behind me that gave all of us in the room a throbbing headache after we left. Lol.

We visit Cafe Mir several times a year and always have amazing food and service! Taco night is a must on Tuesday’s (chicken and fish shown) including their margaritas, and when they weather is nice you can eat outdoors or get take-out and walk across the bridge to the park.
Great atmosphere! Just had dinner there last night and the salmon was amazing(pictured), the best I’ve ever had! We also shared a bottle of wine and took home some Pecan Pie. Prices are reasonable, you could even say cheap for the quality and taste of food. You will not be disappointed. Props to the chef Josh, and the wonderful staff!!

Service was amazing! Lightning fast! Cocktails were super!! We were here on Tuesday for taco night. Wow wow wow !!! Very flavorful and perfect size! Love this place!!

Amazing. Staff and service exceptional. Food so full of flavor. We had a table of 5 and almost tried the entire current menu. The wood fired cauliflower was a unanimous favorite. The meatballs and sauce so full of flavor. Then we ended with every dessert and as expected perfect end to our dining experience. Would road trip just for another experience.

A must eat restaurant in NE Iowa! Everything was so fresh and flavorful. For an appetizer we had the tokyo woodfired turnips which were incredibly flavorful and used fresh herbs to flavor them. We tried the fertillian, the ziggy stardust and the pope's lasagna. All of our entrees were standout options and I'd order them all again. If you're needing some dessert after the savory dishes give the butterscotch custard a try and you won't be disappointed. We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the river. I love the atmosphere of this restaurant including the mismatched vintage dishes and silverware. Our servers were very attentive and came back to check on us often. All around an incredible place to dine, just make sure to get a reservation as they often are fully packed.

What a hidden gem!!! Didn't have my expectations high when a friend told me where we were going for dinner. I was proven wrong.

Only complaint was with the indoor temperature.

Food, on point. On par with restaurants in Minneapolis.

Pizza, perfect. The crust was outstanding. Topping combinations were delicious.

Cafe Mir is a hit!! Love the beef and fish tacos on Tuesday. Their dessert Po De Creme is one of the best things my friends and I have tasted. Well worth the trip!

This place? You kidding me. Super good. Great staff, cozy surroundings, fun location. The food seems created by conversation with the season, area, aura and mood that blows through this one horse town. Ate here twice in the same week and looked long and hard at the home for sale right down the way.

Hidden gem in north Central iowa. A must if your in clear lake Mason City area. Or need a place for great food,service, atmosphere!

This place is an absolute gem - 15 minutes outside of Clear Lake, IA in the lovely downtown of Fertile, IA. The Winnebago River runs right through the beautiful park in the back of the restaurant where they have dinning that overlooks the whole scene.

Food is fantastic - had most of the menu. Pizzas are always great but our group, two days ago, had the Iowa Pork Chop - deliciously fatty and local, the Kale Salad with tahini was amazing and could be an entree itself, while the beef lasagna was great for dinner and as a leftover in the morning. Not a desert person as all, but the scratch made butterscotch pots de creme had the whole dinner group taking about it for days.

Creative, interesting, delicious food! FYI..everything is a la carte. Love taco night! I ordered three different tacos and couldn't decide which was my favorite. I also recommend trying the roasted cauliflower because it is cooked in a lot of interesting spices that make it super flavorful and even cauliflower haters will like it! Don't like what's on the menu? Then check back weekly because it changes. They fill up quickly so reservations are a good idea. Would definitely recommend this place.

If you like lamb, olives in chili oil, unique wood fire oven pizza, this is the place! Excellent and friendly service, libations from local brewer's also Excellent. A small town destination!

I highly recommend this restaurant! We absolutely loved every dish and were very impressed with the high quality sourcing of all the ingredients. The incredibly unique rhubarb pie was the perfect way to end the evening, and we look forward to visiting again the next time we’re in town!

Visiting the area from Minneapolis. We started with the greens salad and bread with dipping oil. Had the asparagus with burrata, then shared minnesota flank steak and smoked chicken pizza entrees. Ended the meal sharing the butterscotch dessert. Everything was absolutely wonderful! Very tasty, flavorful and full of freshness! And the service was outstanding! We were extremely surprised to find this gem of a restaurant in such a small community. If you’re in the area, you MUST eat here.
