Road trip food stop on a Sunday morning after a snow storm. About two miles off the interstate, but absolutely worth the side-trip!
Got the Brissket & Swiss cheese Omelette and was not disappointed! Service was great and the atmosphere was quaint. The pies look delicious!

Absolutely 💯 love ❤ this place. Had the smoked brisket and swiss omelet and some coffee. It was unbelievably good. The fried potatoes were crispy on the outside and hot and steamy on the inside. The local flavor extends to the friendly customers as well. There were people having fun at every table! One of the best kept secrets of I70 eating!

Saw a billboard and googled it..💯 % worth the detour. Super friendly service, great pricing... and the FOOD is GREAT. We had the buffet (see photos) all was all yummy! Took a few slices of pie to go.. let me tell you, don't skip the pie or cheesecake! If you're traveling through Kansas, highly recommend this little spot.... then go take a photo with the "World's Largest Czech Egg"✌🏼

Everything about this little restaurant was great. The food, the service, the price, the pie we got to go. If you are traveling in I-70 in Wilson, Kansas I would recommend stopping. The town also has the worlds largest Czechoslovakian egg so that’s a nice bonus

Amazing!!!! Looks nondescript outside but is amazing inside!!! Decorated with chickens and roosters the place is clean and friendly. The food is worth the wait! Yummy! The buffet is well worth it! The apple pie is amazing and melt in your mouth when warmed up and don’t get us started on the homemade (great) ice cream!!!! Note they’ve adjusted hours due to Covid and not everyone wears masks but it feels safe, spacious, and homey. Great prices! Kolache and bierocks! Attentive staff friendly people. Willing to solve a pregnant ladies need for sauerkraut as well!! Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Could maybe use a toilet upgrade as the men’s room toilet took forever to fill and the women’s needs a tighten on the seat. 10/10 would go back again.

5 stars for the fresh made peanut butter pie and homemade ice cream. I read they have the best coconut meringue pie in the state, I'll have to come back to check that out. Food is kinda Sunday dinnerish. Off the beaten path small town. Largest egg photo shot down the block.

The Reuben was one of the best I've ever had. The meat was excellent with minimal fat.

Great place to grab homemade food off 70. Friendly staff and super yummy food! Worth the 5 minute detour. Attached picture is the small Dutch apple pie and homemade vanilla icecream.

Huge portions of wonderful food. I had the Reuben, it was enormous and so good. The corned beef and rye bread are made in house. The fresh fried chips were great, too. Very much looking forward to going back. Mom n pop feel. Menu or buffet option.

While in middle of nowhere Kansas, came across this Made from Scratch restaurant and ordered a pound burger with fries, chocolate milk and ice cream. At first sight I was drooling like a bulldog when they brought me my food, and it was to die for. The ice cream was amazing as well. The service and my waiter were some of the most cheerful and kindhearted people I've ever met. The prices were great and the overall feeling of the place made feel at home. A great vibe and a great meal I'll never forget. Salute to you guys, your the bomb.

If you go right now, the lunch buffet is filled with delicious chicken fried steak. Everything was delicious including the homemade raisin creme pie and homemade bread and Klotchkes. Stop in. We loved it.

The buffet menu was German food. We had beirocks, which was a round bun filled with hanburger, cabbage and onions. It was so big I only ate half. I also had sour kraut, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a dumplin filled with cream cheese. The waitress was busy keeping up with all the tables, but she gave us great service! I would recomend this place if you are driving through or staying at Wilson Lake.

It is everything you would expect from a small town cafe called "Made From Scratch". Whether you are ordering an omelet off the menu, with special instructions, or enjoying the daily buffet, it's almost like sitting down to a meal with family. We aren't locals but eat their frequently enough that our drink preferences are known and we are treated like regulars. Smiles abound whether it be customers for staff. And if you leave hungry it's your own fault.

We love everything about Made From Scratch. It always worth the 40 mile drive it takes to get there.

Family friendly, and the owners are beyond gracious. I had broken down and they let me set up shop at a corner table for hours while I waited for my ride. Very homey feel and family friendly.

Oh man, that reuben on homemade bread with homemade potato chips is unreal. Tender meat and wonderful flavor. We also got a piece of warm rhubarb pie with a generous scoop of homemade ice cream piled on top. The stuff dreams are made of. Don't sleep on this place! If you're in the area, get a reuben and a piece of pie!

Simply wonderful!! We stopped here for breakfast before heading to the lake. The food was definitely made from scratch and deliciously filling. We ordered of the menu but they were setting up a yummy looking German style buffet by the time we left. Prices were good, the atmosphere was small town mom and pop style dinning with a rooster theme. Fun cozy place to eat!!

Saw the billboards on I-70 and decided it was a good time to get some lunch. I was not expecting a great little buffet to be on offer. I couldn't resist the allure of unlimited fried chicken and pork chops. It was definitely worth it. The chicken was great and the pork chops were so tender no knife was needed. My girlfriend got a burger that was so good. And all at prices that look like they haven't changed in decades. I would stop again any time I'm nearby.
