Heavenly Daylight Donuts/The Emporium

If it's even possible, I think I enjoy buying doughnuts and bringing them home, more than I do eating them. There's something about the excitement that's generated from that mystery box of goodness. Heavenly Daylight Doughnuts/The Emporium can provide that, with a smile. Which I often wonder how, since they have to get up so early. Maybe it's because they know they are creating something so tasty, and they get to see the smiles of the one's they make it for. Do yourself a favor. Get some goodness.....

These donuts were soooooo good! Some of the best glazed donuts I've had, and I'm a fat kid. Didn't try any of the other breakfast food, but planning on going back to try the biscuits and gravy sometime soon. I also had a chai latte and was super disappointed in that. When I asked about dairy alternatives for it, I felt like I might've grown a third head the way the clerk looked at me. I ordered it anyways and it tasted like lightly seasoned warm milk. Not at all like what a chai should taste like. I would not order any sort of prepared beverage here again, just seemed out of their expertise. And still the five star rating stands because the donuts were that good! Go for the donuts, not the coffee (or chai)! I know it's now a must visit for us for future visits to family in the area.

Heavenly Daylight Donuts was a great introduction to Lamar. Not only does it have great local atmosphere, but it’s really a snapshot of what makes life in Lamar so special, now and in the past. Their old-fashioned donuts and maple bars were fresh, soft, and delicious. Worth going back for, and we did! The staff was friendly and helpful, ready to help us make what was a really difficult decision. The coffee was fresh and constantly flowing. They even came to our table to do refills when our conversation kept us in our seats. (It’s a great place to meet and talk!) Everything was clean and comfortable, bright and cheery. What a gem this is for the community of Lamar and anyone blessed to visit there!!

Can't get enough of their biscuits & gravy! The icing on the donuts is fantastic, and so are the owners and staff! I love that they have pics up of historical Lamar.

Always a pleasure to dine here. Everyone is friendly and they treat you with the hospitality one might expect from an old friend! The food here is never lacking and their donuts have gotten my family going on many a morning. Keep up the great work!

Don’t ever change the recipe of the old fashioned donuts. Best in the nation.

Enjoyed our breakfast break from the weather, a downpour ! Enjoyed the town memories in photographs, a little shopping, just comfy hometown atmosphere. :)

I love this place. Daylight Donuts are my favorite donut. I enjoy the original or old fashion donut.
