Runway Cafe

We wanted to take the kids out to eat, but we also wanted it to be a different experience. So why not breakfast with planes at the Runway Cafe?

Located at the South Jersey Regional Airport in Lumberton, this cafe is worth the 20 minute wait. We were well entertained by planes taking off and landing until our table was ready.

We were seated at a booth with the best view (in my opinion). The staff was super friendly and attentive to our needs. My husband and youngest son both got the Jet Lag burger, my oldest son got French Toast and bacon, and I got the Campagnolo panini. The words “delicious”, “really good”, and “perfect” were thrown around quite a bit. The menu definitely has something for everyone.

There is also a museum if you want to make a day of it. Next time! Yes, next time!

Came here with our 19 month who really enjoyed sitting outside and watching planes take off. If you do plan on sitting outside you have to do a to go order but they give you everything you need. Fairly inexpensive and the food was much better than we expected. BLT was delicious and so was the Runway Cheesesteak with peppers, onions, mushrooms. Daughtet had lollipop pancakes. We'll be back!

Fantastic little airport restaurant serving delicious breakfast and lunch! Right next to the runway, it's a perfect place to watch airplanes and helicopter take offs and landings. The kids loved this as much as I did, would like to go back again soon!

Great hidden gem at the South Jersey Regional Airport. Great brunch selection and super fresh cooked to order items. Great staff in a cozy cafe. Fun to watch the places and helicopters take off. Located next to the Air Victory Museum.

We got a mix of breakfast and lunch. Burger and fries were solid and my son's Lollipop pancakes looked tasty. Fountain Soda Pepsi was especially good. Great secret place to eat if you are in the area.

Runway Cafe is always a favorite for breakfast or lunch - it's honestly the next best thing to homemade. Everything is fresh and delicious, nothing seems to be cooked in a lot of butter or fat, which is a huge plus for us. They make paninis on it on a really delicious ciabatta type bread with a hint of rosemary - they're delicious! Really good pancakes and French toast, they have turkey sausage, another plus for us. Plus you get to watch the planes take off and land while you're eating. The staff is great and so friendly. It's just a really fun place to go for good food and enjoyment.

Solid diner food at a great price with reasonable (not huge) portions. Staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The view is great too! The airport is home to helicopters and small planes so there’s always something interesting to look at.

Our family absolutely adores this restaurant! Everything from the uniqueness of watching the planes, to the friendly staff and simple but homey and satisfying menu is wonderful! Most definitely what we would consider a “hidden gem”!

Very friendly staff. We ordered coffee and paninis. Everything was delicious to the point that I had to really eat literally everything that was on my plate. Also, the aviation themed decoration is somewhat special for people like me that enjoy flying. The outside view to parked airplanes adds up for a unique breakfast.

Small cafe at the SJ Regional airport. The breakfast sandwich had a real kaiser roll & 2 helicopters took off & landed while we were there.

Cool little find where you get a great meal and watch some planes! Bring cash - they'll appreciate it.

Despite the name, there isn't actually a runway in this cafe. Do not land your airplanes in this cafe. People might get hurt if you do that!

I loved how this restaurant is tucked away in a small airport. I love seeing the plane take off. The service was amazing, and so was the food. I'd definitely come back. The price was also super fair and reasonable.

One of my favorite places for casual fare, from breakfast to a great selection of sandwiches and burgers. The food is always excellent and the friendly staff is amazing. Of course, the "X Factor" here is the panoramic view of the main ramp and runway of South Jersey Regional Airport. There's nothing better than a nice sunny day to have a good meal and watch the planes take-off and land. I highly recommend it for an enjoyable and tasty breakfast or lunch.
