Howard's Seafood Restaurant

Delicious food and awesome service. We had made reservations and were quickly seated. The waitress was extremely friendly and patient with us. The lobster bisque was amazing and everyone enjoyed their meal. I had ordered the special for the night. Seared ahi tuna with seaweed salad. It was delicious and well seasoned. Seared perfectly. Also don't forget to add the French fried lobster to your meal.

Fresh, fantastic seafood with many preparation options.
We had the seared tuna cooked rare (perfectly!), Swordfish as fish of the day (also prepared perfectly), and then the fried shrimp which was not heavily breaded.
Excellent service from Clark, and as always a wonderful dining atmosphere.
You don't have to, but they now accept reservations via Open Table and I highly recommend you do so

Well, I kept expecting to have ANYTHING to complain about besides being a bit pricey, buuuut, ya DEF get what you pay for here!! Reviews are on point, food fantastic, service excellent, only gave 4 stars on atmosphere bc there was a few very large parties and they were pretty vocal, so it was a lot noise, but hey, sat night in LBI, what did we expect? 🤷‍♀ Seems to be BYOB, and they sell bottles of wine. Had the Lobster Bisque, (OMG GET IT. May very well be the best I've had, and I order it everywhere...) (DIP THE HOT ROLLS, YOOOOO!!) He got mussels (huge healthy portion, said they were great, I dont eat them, lol!) and we shared a 6pc shrimp cocktail (coulda been bigger for price, but were def fresh and clean and tasty!), cocktail sauce was kinda weak, (not the selfmade stuff us real seafood lovers make!). Lastly surf and turf with (you guessed it!) their FAMOUS FRENCH FRIED LOBSTER!! 🦞 ABSOLUTELY BALLER. BUY IT. Steak was nice size cooked to order and only very barely seasoned, as a true cut of prime filet ought be. Well done!! 9.8 outta 10, (until you add tomatoes 🍅 😋 to my house salad!!) 😘 Btdubs, advise making a reservation, walked rt in on time and seated immediately!! ❤ from Philly!!

The 5 stars are because of the great food...not the atmosphere or the service. The fried lobster is wonderful. I got 5 pieces of lobster that looked to be tail halves. Good bread, adequate salad. Wife got seafood combo, also very good, loved the crab cake. A nice option other than potatoes was asparagus with no up charge. The asparagus was fresh, nicely done, not overcooked. Rolls also good. Service is adequate, a little slow but that might have been the kitchen getting behind.

They do not take reservations. We got there (Saturday night) around 6:45 and had a little more than a half hour wait. You can look at the boats at the marina! Near the end of our wait they were telling new comers 1 1/2 hours. This place is LOUD. Not cozy, quiet, and romantic. It is neat and clean, but loud. It seems to be mostly locals dining here. It is BYOB and lots of people do just that. Don't think there is a corking fee as most of what I saw was people opening their own bottles (except for some that forgot the corkscrew LOL). This place is well rehearsed at turning over tables. We were watching this one young woman. A table of six left, and within 3.5 minutes she had QUIETLY cleared the table and reset it for six again. We were timing her for fun, and she was consistent and fun to watch. Dessert options were not impressive, in fact, the dessert menu was exactly the same as where we ate last night...this area needs improvement. We did not order dessert. Pictured is the lobster and the combo. (Lemons already removed from the one plate...they are generous with the lemons too)

A very good place to eat a nice dinner at the beach all the seafood is fresh and always delightful. The view is nice can always look at new boats in the Marina. Just only wish the French fries were fresh not frozen

The best NE Clam Chowder on the island. The French Fried Lobster is a must have for the table. Loved the miso-glazed salmon.

My husband and I ate here . Had lobster tails and my husband surf and turf .Both dishes were delicious and and staff was friendly and efficient

The restaurant is decorated w fantastic historic pictures of the LBI area.
The food was excellent ( fried shrimp & blackened swordfish ....oh and the rolls they serve are terrific) save room for the brownie dessert, so good. Service and cleanliness were solid

Classic Jersey shore seafood spot with lots of options. Really enjoyed my surf and turf which consisted of a small filet and three lobster tails along with a baked potato and side salad. Great for kids lots of space and nice area outside to talk them for walks on the bay.

The room was extremely, loud. No fault of the restaurant, it was all on the customers acting like it's a roadhouse atmosphere. It's not, it's a lovely restaurant.
The fried lobster is my all time favorite and I wait all winter for them to reopen.

Caught a table here right at sunset located right next to a marina beautiful view of the sunset..the fried lobster tail was recommended and I was not disappointed!! fabulous!! waitress Siobhan was great had the Thai Chili calamari lobster bisque and the crab cakes and all were phenomenal.. left enough room for the Chocolate Brownie dessert!! not to be missed.. was told to get my own next time..

Food here is completely outstanding! My family has been going here since they opened. The ranch dressing is to die for!! The rolls are delicious! The fried flounder is so amazing! Everything about this restaurant is amazing! One of my favorite restaurants! Your meal comes with a salad and rolls. The staff is very friendly and courteous!

Our last night on our vacation,we had reservations for 7:30 we were sat right away, my brother ordered the French fried lobster, my wife had the almond crusted flounder and I had soup and a few appetizers. service and food was fantastic. Our waitress Katlyn was outstanding.

Everything we had was great. Lobster Bisque, garlic bread, house salad, grilled tuna and of course the fired lobster. BYOB is nice as well

Howard’s is always our go to for a special night out to dinner on the island. Their NE clam chowder is one of the best. Always friendly staff. They should put up some better sound dampening decor because it is very very noisy.

Great Place, Good Food, Outstanding Staff! We had our group of July Birthdays here last night. The wait staff and management was accommodating and despite the demands due to staff shortages. The food was delicious and came out hot. Thank you all for being good sports. Will be back.
