Easily the best dining experience in the Philly area. The food is excellent, and the front of house is really on point. The ambiance is exactly the right amount of hustle and bustle to provide privacy of conversation in a otherwise (wonderfully) close/cozy seating space. The timing between courses is bizarrely perfect (making me want to do it again just to make sure they pull that off every night!). It all really allows for a person to just sit, enjoy conversation, and experience some amazing food. Food-wise I was most blown away by the perfect amount of fennel in the sausage. My wife would have ordered the gnocchi for every course. Each course was excellent and I could go on and on about the little unique points in each course— but at $75/person for a prefix meal, splurge a little and try it yourself. It’s easily worth twice that.

Hands down The Absolute BEST Taste of Italy 🇮🇹 without having to travel abroad that my wife and I have ever had. Thank you so much Nick, and to all who contributed in making our experience that much more memorable. We most definitely will be back again!

Can’t say enough about how great the food is. Best, fresh tasting, and the flavors jump off the plate, roll around your taste buds, then into your mouth!! My wife ordered the swordfish. My taste for seafood starts and stops at fish sticks and fried shrimp::;;;But, I tasted my wife’s, and let me tell you,,was flavorful-a cross between a light pleasant fish , chicken, and a steak. I know that sounds weird, but I will order the swordfish next time. The antipasta board was very fresh and all the meats and cheeses complemented each other. The pesto gnocchi was unlike any gnocchi I ever had, considering my Italian aunts homemade the standard gnocchi- potato or sausage wrapped in dough. Zeppoli’s version is a very light dough with a light cheese and spinach-an inside out gnocchi. Very light and although filling, did not give you the carb, starchy, lead on your stomach feeling. This meal was the best Italian meal I have had since Rome Italy, ten years ago. The pasta was tasty and melted in your mouth. Can’t wait to ho back. Great staff also.

The quality of the food is very high in this rustic Sicilian restaurant. Homely and hearty dishes, liberal in olive oil. The ricotta gnocchi are only second to those I had in Fiorella in Philadelphia, and only by a tiny bit. The rabbit stew was excellent. And the canoli the best I had in my life.

With a price tag of $75 for a 4-course meal, this restaurant is as expensive as several 1star Michelin restaurants in DC and NYC. But I don't think I have found this flavor profile anywhere else so far, so I believe this restaurant is unique for this reason.

Very worth the trouble of getting a reservation! The food was absolutely amazing! If I had to say something negative about anything I had it would only be that the pasta dish was too lemony if that's even a word. Will be going back again ASAP!

Cute little Italian spot with a more romantic type of atmosphere. Definitely a quieter, more date type of place. I enjoyed the food (gnocculi was unique and stand out) and experience, I only wish there was a little more transparency on pricing.

The restaurant is prefixe only (except take out)- I only learned of this only after I received a reservation confirmation text, as it’s not mentioned on their website nor upon booking online. While this isn’t my preference, the restaurant is very local to me and I had been wanting to try it out, so we went for it.

Additionally, there are several price tiers and none of them are even listed on the physical menu at the restaurant (nor the website). Of course the waiter will take you through everything but it would just be nice to know exactly what things cost, how much each add on is etc., straight up.

All that aside, they do appear to have a lovely outdoor patio so I look forward to trying it out again for a special occasion in the spring!

Very nice experience, again, at this fine BYOB gem.
Gnocchi, swordfish, seafood stew, and almond panna cotta, all delicious and prepared to perfection.
Good service, albeit servers a bit stretched thin during the rush.
Can't wait to be back.

Delicious food, great service! This was our first visit and we each got the three course. I can't imagine being able to eat four courses. The bread and tomato salad was so good, the gnocchi were likes clouds of yum. My husband had the rabbit stew and loved it. We shared a pitcher of lemonade and it was perfect!

This is a review I have been looking forward to writing, Saturday evening two top sitting by the Avenue we shared the antipasto for two, I believe there were 18 different components which were all seasons perfectly.
Enjoyed with a beautiful bread basket consisting of two types of focaccia and one seeded semolina bread which were very fresh.
It was a beautiful evening on the Avenue with wine, antipasto and fresh bread watching my wife clutch her Louie as the local random‘s walked closely by to visit the quickie Mart for their libations.
We had the gnocchi alla argentiera, very soft and flavorful hints of nutmeg and brown butter maybe could’ve used a little salt but very delicious.
We also enjoyed the rigatoni disgraziata, which was anything but, more honorable than anything beautiful al dente pasta eggplant, tomato, Flavorful breadcrumbs and then finished with Sicilian olive oil tableside. Definitely a dish I would order again.
We finished our meal with the warm zeppoli with Nutella and the cannoli Classico the perfect ending to a great meal. And also a complementary shot of lemoncello with fennel and a fresh honey like candy to finish.
Alex our waiter was very pleasant and polite, look forward to our return visit.

Zeppoli, in my opinion, is the best Sicilian restaurant in the south Jersey/Philadelphia area, and possibly the best Italian BYOB. It's nice to try a restaurant that isn't your standard red sauce fare. Dishes are classic Sicilian like the spaghetti vongole (cockled clams), and the pesto trapanese (almond-pistachio pesto). The scallop crudo with a watermelon granita was one of the most memorable dishes I've had in a while. The gnocchi was also something jot commonly seen, using spinach and ricotta with caciocavallo cheese. The star of the night for me was the grilled swordfish served with lemon and fennel. Service was excellent for a small family rin restaurant. I highly recommend and suggest that you should even go out of your way to come here. Zeppoli didn't win a James Beard award for no reason. Be sure to call ahead and make a reservation as it is usually booked.

One of the best restaurants in Nj. A hidden treasure if you ask me. Small with limited seating. Very authentic Italian cuisine.

Absolutely divine. Gnocchi were to die for, light, fluffy with a creamy texture. Served in a brown butter and sage .. not a even tad greasy. The specials .. a full fish served in a light wine sauce with olives. Cooked perfectly. Fileted on the tables melted in our mouths. We also ordered the risotto with shrimp, mussels and cockel clams with spinach. Creamy yet not heavy risotto .. did not over power the freshness of the seafood.

Amazing! Went in with very high expectations and realized my expectations were not high enough. Yes it’s small. Yes it can be loud because it’s small. Yes it’s pricey. Yes it’s worth it! Only complaint is that it’s VERY difficult to get a table at a good time. That’s not really a criticism but the mark of a fantastic restaurant.

Can’t wait to go back!!!

Make sure to make a reservation to this BYO gem. This tiny restaurant serves great Sicilian foods. I was given a recommendation to try Zeppoli when I was in the area. I was not disappointed. The restaurant has 35 seats... not tables, seats. The kitchen is open to the seating area so the aroma of the various foods on the limited menu fill the room. The menu has 3 columns- Starters, Pastas, and Main Entrees. The breads are homemade and served with olive oil with herbs, olives and lemon. The courses are reasonably sized. I started with a traditional panzanella salad with crisp bread, tomatoes and cucumbers. As my main course I enjoyed the large size gnoculli, which is like a potatoless gnocchi that has spinach in it and is served with crispy sage and brown butter. Wow. The flavor was so rich. The meal was one that I won't forget.

Best Sicilian spot around, hands down. Food, ambiance, staff, everything. Perfect size menu; not too much, all quality. Keep in mind it's BYOB. Bring your favorite bottle of red or a bottle you're holding onto for a special occasion. This is the spot to open it.

We really enjoyed ourselves here. The service was very good and food delicious. I recommend the anchovy salad and the whole fish special. The gnocchi was just ok.
