Their wraps and potato soup are really good! Service could use some improvement. Wish the would make taking payment at the table standard practice. It gets really chaotic trying to pay up front with people crowding in to pick up to go orders, while some are just trying to get seated.

Places like this make me proud to be from Ohio! Absolutely love the food! The atmosphere is something that has long been needed in this community. I hope this place is able to remain a staple for generations to come.

Very unique and adorable cafe with amazing food. Thanks Holly for being so attentive. Everyone was very friendly and it made you feel like your home again. My husband is from Portsmouth and we were here for the Senior Olympics. Highly recommend.

My wife and I both had the Turkey Crunch wraps last week and they were delicious. The friendly staff provided terrific service. Convenient location. Clean restrooms. No doubt about it, a 5-star rating.

A great place to get coffee or breakfast before visiting the murals and/or Visitor Center in Portsmouth. They have lunch items as well. Good, friendly service in a nice atmosphere.

I love market st. Cafe. They are open on Monday and I always go for, what I call, "market st. Monday". Try it all. Sugar cookies are terrific.

I work nearby and I am always greeted with a smile every time I stop here in the mornings. Some of the employees even remember my coffee order, which is amazing. Typically if I don't pack my lunch then I get a veggie hummus wrap from here. Great quality food and customer service.

First, their coffee is delicious. I had the Highlander Grogg and it was SUCH a good cup of coffee. Second, I loved their food. Seriously their whole menu sounded delicious, but I can only attest to their wraps. Thirdly, their sugar cookies are great. Highly recommend. Finally, the atmosphere there is really cute and quaint and the employees are all very nice.

Stopped in to warm up with a cup of soup after the St. Patrick's Day parade. I was pleasantly surprised to find their potato soup was flavorful and served hot. I also ended up ordering a cafe ole which was perfect and made with some of the best coffee I have had. Looking forward stopping in again next time I am in the area.

This is my absolute favorite place to eat. The Highland Grog coffee is amazing. You can’t go wrong with any of their soups (the broccoli soup is by far the best though). The cookies and pastries are always fresh. And the employees are so sweet.

I have seriously never gotten one bad thing here!!! The turkey crunch wrap is my absolute favorite. The iced sugar cookies are delicious and you can’t go wrong with any of the smoothies! Just a great, quaint little place to eat!!

I've been to Market Street Cafe many times. Every time I have been the service has always been friendly and the drinks and food delicious! My favorite is the iced chai tea latte and a blueberry scone! The atmosphere of the Cafe is nice as well.

Market Street Cafe is such an awesome little place, right in the heart of Historic Boneyfiddle District! They did a great job restoring the building and have it so tastefully decorated, lots of character! The food is always great, staff is wonderful! I really love Susan, she cares about her community and it shows through the business. If you go there, try the chicken salad, it's amazing!

Market Street Cafe is one of the best things to happen to the Boneyfiddle District in years. It is a true shining star as to the ability to revitalize a historical community. The food is excellent American Traditional fare, and the prices are super affordable even during these difficult economic times. The atmosphere of this historical building are highlighted by the original wood flooring and plaster and tin ceiling moldings. The setting is close intimate which makes it a great place to take a date, but there is also seating available for larger parties as well. I cannot recommend this place enough if you care about having great food at affordable prices and helping be a part of reclaiming a beautiful section of our city.
