Pine Lodge Restaurant

If you want an amazing meal go to the Pine Lodge Restaurant. The Brisket is amazing. No need to cut it just stick your fork into it and a bite falls on to it begging to be eaten. The pulled pork was delicious with multiple options for sauces. The onion strings were fried to perfection. For dessert you must try the Deep Fried Brownie! It's unbelievably scrumptious with a perfectly fried, mouth watering outside then a perfect brownie waiting inside served with ice cream. One of the best meals I have ever eaten. You're amazing Chef Ken!

The ribs and brisket were fantastic! Our server was very friendly and he did a great job! Can't wait to try their Friday night fish specials!

We were at a wedding and reception with dinner at the lodge on 10.14.23. I will say that the food was THE best I have ever had at a wedding venue. Steve, the chef, did an excellent job with the dinner. Heather, the event coordinator made the day so extra special and accommodated every need. The grounds and ceremony set up were beautiful!

First time back after 2 years and it didn't disappoint. I had the fish fry (baked walleye) and my husband had the pan seared ribeye. Both were excellent. Service was great. New chef. Beautiful setting. We'll be back!

Great food! Went twice while we were staying at Heartwood Resort. It's a simple dining experience with great specials! Friendly staff and the chef was a nice guy to talk to as well when he came into the dining room. Hope to return next year!

Great food, wonderful atmosphere and fabulous waitress, McKayla! I strongly encourage everyone to visit! This restaurant is open to the public.

Good food and fun time

We went for the Friday night fish fry. Usually you get Cole slaw or a salad, but it was just fish and fries. The fish itself was pretty good, and you have a couple of options -all you can eat or just one serving. The one serving was not enough for us, we had to have a snack when we got home. The bar downstairs was really loud, we wanted to eat down there, but some guy had brought a microphone and was singing. But it could have just been those particular guests. The staff was very friendly.

My wife and I ate there this past Friday. We split the largest cut of Prime Rib cooked medium. When it came out it looked as if it was cooked medium rare. Rather than sending it back we accepted it became medium rare if okay with me. When we cut it it was cold and raw in tne middle and when we ate it. I could tell that it was a very poor cut. Tough to eat. The side of green beans were cold. The waitress was very good. We usually give restaurants a second chance. Not sure about this one.

They advertise a Friday walleye fish fry in the local newspaper we drove 45 miles for the walleye fish fry. And the waitress tells us the Friday special is cod but they have cajan walleye on the menu if we would prefer walleye.
Not impressed. False advertising.

Prices like an upscale place, but steak and walleye were served lukewarm, salad bar was lame. Been there twice, won't go again.

Waited 21 minutes for a server to say hello, and then it was only because we flagged her down. The items advertised on line were not available, and server said they never have been available. She commented that other people tried to order ribs too. She was confused. My husband ordered a Reuben sandwich… it was pressed meat. I ordered a pizza; it was fine. Very disappointed. Just not good at all.

A black mark on Heartwood Resort! Understaffed, lost orders and then to top it off running out of food. Run, don’t walk!
