Children's Wisconsin Summer Camp - Swift Nature Camp

My daughter spent two consecutive summers at Swift. She enjoys her experience very much. She likes the wide array of activities, which helps her discover new interests and hobbies. She also greatly enjoys taking care of the animals. I see many more summers at this wonderful camp.

The camp in Minong WI is well organized, transparent, and a positive experience for our two children aged 8 and 10 for whom this was their first camping experience without family. The organizers did a good job of describing in writing on the website and emails as well as through videos what our children could expect to experience. This made the decision to enroll and the transition on drop off low-risk and seamless. The counsellors were well chosen and a good fit for the ethos of the camp. Their covid protocols were defined, nicely balanced and effective in preventing transmission. It was rustic, nature oriented, supported independence/confidence building, reasonable values, and was a nice place for them to make new friends. There was a nice balance of structure and free time to allow for self exploration and development without being too regimented. This was our kids' first experience at the camp, and they would like to go again next year for longer.

Love everything about this place! Lonnie, Jeff and staff paid special attention to my first time overnight camper; I’m so thankful to have stumbled upon SNC via internet.

I’m a huge fan of the technology free zone, enviro conservationism, art/crafts, and fishing/outdoorsman ship oriented camp for children.

I would urge any parent looking to improve their child’s environmental awareness, self-confidence, and lagging social skills/team building skills to send there child to SNC. I give my highest recommendation.

PS: My son can hardly wait to go for 3 weeks next summer.

Swift Nature Camp is the best decision we have ever made for our son's independence, confidence and willingness to try and learn new things. 2019 will be his seventh summer at SNC and he is looking ahead to the day he will be a counselor. He has beloved friends he has met at SNC, and looks forward all year long to seeing them every summer.

Jeff and Lonnie are amazing camp directors. Their caring, enthusiastic attitudes, wholesome ideals, and hands-on approach are some of the reasons I am happy to trust them with my son every summer.

I also want to encourage parents to start early. My son was 6 his first summer. I thought for sure he was too young, but he came back from that first year 100% enthused and so excited for the next year. He wanted to go back for another session that same summer!

Such a fun place for a kid. My daughter is on her fourth summer now and loves it. Jeff & Lonnie are great owners and super accommodating.

So glad My Daughter opened up camp Director contacted me back.. I brought some problems up just recently and she is going to deal with it by training other Counselors on what to look out for. Some kids can be mean that happens all over, but remember to tell your children to tell the leaders or director right away so they can enjoy camp! Not two years later have it come out because they didn't open up and tell someone have flash backs come up and cry she just was treated by kids and 1 counselor like she didn't belong certain situations bring things up that happens now. They can't take care of it right away if kids wait. She really liked Camp, Location, Activities, The cabin the teaching manners in the lunch room. She really got along with a couple other Counselors the director especially Lonie was wonderful!!! I would really recommend this camp to anyone But kids have to tell RIGHT AWAY if they are being bullied from Counselors or kids So they can take appropriate actions!!! I am wrightin this experience for learning experience NOT A BAD REVIEW!!!😉

Love everything about this camp. Spent summers here as a counselor. I enjoyed the camping trips, nature center, and traditional camp activities. Kids will make still many friends and form connections will people from all over the world. Would recommend this camp to everyone! Having kids unplug from their technology and spend time engaging with people is extremely important in today's society!

My son had a great time at Swift Nature Camp. He especially loved canoeing, catching frogs and other critters, going out to the island and caring for the camp’s pets. He liked the food—he tends to be picky but said it was really good. The whole 1 1/2 hour car ride home, our son talked about all the activities, different friends and had a huge grin on his face!

My two boys (6 and 9) went to the first timer camp here and both absolutely loved it. It was an amazing experience and they can't wait to go back next year.

Our girls first time experience at Camp was great! They had a blast exploring new things, learning new skills, and bonding with their cabin mates & counselors!

Swift Nature camp runs under the supervision of Jeff Lorenz who manages every detail of this tradition camp. The camp functions within a coed setup and involves children between 6-15years of age. Kids at the camp can enjoy various attributes of life including adventure, art, nature, animals and other fun activities which will help them develop as better individuals.

Went here for five years, as did all my siblings. Probably the fondest memories of my childhood. Amazing environment, fantastic role mode counselors, and amazing all around summer camp. Would recommend to anyone!

My grandson loved it there last year. He made a lot of new friends and did plenty of new stuff he never tried before. He is so excited to go back again this year.

I went here in the summer of 99’ learned a lot and still tell stories of Swift Nature Camp.
