Gundersen Tri-County Emergency and Urgent Care

My husband is very anxious about going to hospitals. We came to the Whitehall Urgent Care/ER for the first time and the receptionists/schedulers were very helpful and nice. The wait times were much shorter than other hospitals I have been to. The nurses and MA’s were caring and thorough. Dr. Michael A Zimmer, MD was extremely informative and knew immediately what the issue was. He ordered super-fast x-rays to confirm. He put my husband and I at ease with the entire process. Dr. Zimmer made sure we understood what we needed to do even though he was juggling multiple emergency patients at the same time. Outstanding job! We will be coming here again if we need excellent emergency care. Thank you so much!

Many wonderful aspects of this rural hospital - the nurses are wonderful, the MA’s are very caring, even the receptionists and the schedulers will out of their way to help you. But, be very careful about who sees you in Urgent care or emergency. I worked with Mark Zeller more than once...does not meet the level of other staff members. Seems to think rather highly of himself.
