Jail House Restaurant

Stopped in after the Milwaukee Muskie Expo while visiting from Ontario Canada.
Not only was the Prime Rib and Manhattans excellent, the young lady and fellow working behind the bar were very pleasant, attentive and worked very hard. Made for a great evening.

This place is a well hidden jewel. The cozy atmosphere and extremely pleasing wait staff really topped off a great night with great food. Highly recommended

Being from the area and a few years ago having to relocate to MN this was one of our most missed restaurants. Cannot count the number of times we patronized this place while living in the vicinity. Back in the area for 2 days and we stopped in tonight. Still the same.. delicious and cozy. Such a nice laid back relaxing experience. Service has always been fantastic, and food top notch. The drinks are always spot on. We so miss this place. Now, if I can only figure out a way to get one of those engraved wooden check holders 😉

Hidden gem!
We were looking for a nice Wisc supper club and this place came up in our list. Took my wife and daughter and had a very nice dinner! Upscale food a decent price. I think it only cost us more because we wanted to try everything! Will be back!

OMG, I can not believe it took us this long to come to a place that is this outstanding. I do not know where to begin, the pre meal cocktails are outstanding on their own. The app of prime brushetta is to kill for. Prime rib and lobster tail, WOW WOW! Our server was amongst the finest I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We had no reservation, which I would NOT recommend . And we still had a table in 40 minutes. This establishment is almost beyond words. We WILL be back very very soon. HIGHLY recommended!!!!!

Food was excellent. The atmosphere is a small town tavern restaurant. The staff was very friendly. We were seated right before a large group and in the confusion they forgot to assign someone to our table. It was not a big deal because we were there to catch up with friends but slowed the service down some. I will go again.

Along with the Supper Club charm you get fantastic service, outstanding, perfectly prepared menu and prices that seem as if you went back in time.
We have dined there with friends and family multiple times.

Very interesting restaurant that seemed in the middle of nowhere. This restaurant had a very home like feeling to it and the food was awesome. The Grilled Jerk Mahi-Mahi was perfect with a mango salsa on top that was very flavorful. They also have an interesting drink menu that I enjoyed. We also had the bacon wrapped water chestnuts as an appetizer and they were fantastic. Depending on what you order can be on the pricey side but well worth every penny.

Loved this cozy little eatery. The food was absolutely amazing. Recommend the prime rib. Fun drinks available and super friendly servers. We loved our first time here!

My husband and I love eating the shrimp for an appetizer then getting the steak with lobster and walleye almondine. Then we share desserts and it is always a fantastic meal!!

It's my favorite restaurant in Wisconsin. The food is excellent and the bar makes the absolute best bloody Mary's. The atmosphere is rustic and yet very romantic. Serves escargot, Steak, Lobster, Alaskan King Crab etc. and delicious desserts and an assortment of cheesecakes all homemade. A fine restaurant.

Delightful find in the middle of nowhere! Lovely upgrade of what was an old crossroads coach stop (probably weathered some hard times) but is now warm and charming. Food was remarkable, really beautifully prepared. Service was warm, friendly, and efficient. Very busy on a Thursday! Bonus: we were offered a punch card for return visits.

They have amazing steaks, filet mignon, cowboy, prime rib. It comes with soup or salad and choice of potato. The duck soup is really good. If you have room the desserts are so good! I had the pistachio torte, the tiramisu is another good choice. They also have specials each night, check out their online menu. Ribs, chicken, fish fry, all great

Crowded, very warm upstairs. The wait staff were thorough and friendly. It was a birthday 🎂 and I loved how the staff and all people around sang along ❤

This place has been on my bucket list after hearing good things from several people. It didn't disappoint! I thought we went early enough to beat the dinner rush, but it was a Saturday, so I really should've made reservations. It was an hour wait, but it went pretty quickly, and the cocktails while waiting were excellent. Everyone working seemed very efficient, and the food was all very good. I was too stuffed for dessert, but took some to go and had it for breakfast the next day. 😂 Overall, great experience and worth the wait!

I went to the Jail House with a couple of friends. This is a really cute place LITERALLY in the middle of nowhere.
We waited about 20 minutes to be seated - which I thought was a decent amount of time. We were able to get a couple of their signature, "Blackberry Old Fashioneds" which were good - but I thought too pricey at $8 each.
The service was good. It was a busy evening (Fish fry Friday) so I expected the service to be lacking, but it was not. We got our drinks in a timely manner and our starters, salads, and entrees came to the table at a reasonable pace.
My main dish - the bone-in ribeye - was perfectly seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare. My side was not as impressive. I ordered the loaded baked potato, and out came a potato that was quite a bit smaller than another at the table.
The meal, with drinks and dessert (do NOT skip dessert!) was very affordable. I thought the menu prices were unbelievably low, given the quality of the visit.

Great food - had salmon and tenderloin and blackberry twist drink special. All excellent. Reasonably priced.

Went to the Jail House Resteront for dinner had the Prime Rib awesome. It was cooked perfectly and it just melted in your mouth. Great flavor also had the garlic mashed potatoes also great flavor. The place was full good to see. And our waitress was very polite and gave us great service . Can't wait to go back and try something else off the menu.

It was my first time. It was such a great might. We showed up at 7:00pm just as a crowd was leaving .....score for us. We waited 15 min on a Saturday. Food was great, atmosphere was great, bartenders great and our waitress just wonderful. Props to the Chef for my perfect steak and my word when I saw the dessert I thought it was so big so people could see it really good lmbo. I was wrong the dessert is that huge:). We had a great night. We will be back soon. I regret no pics sorry

Went here for Valentine's Day dinner, was very pleased with the service and atmosphere!
