Kossuth Artesian Well

Would really love an updated quality report. Also wonder if owners ever had it tested for arsenic? (Seperate test beyond standard) Family member was arsenic poisoned from a well in the past so always a little concerned about that.

We buy so much water here and love it. Very much hoping for continued testing.

Very peaceful. Nice fresh, cold water. Takes about 5 seconds to fill a gallon jug at 25 cents a gallon. Did I mention the surrounding is lovely?

I absolutely love this well!!!! The water is a godsend and quite affordable. On top of that, it's easy to find and get in and out of, not to mention the tranquil beauty of the place.

I had no idea this was even here until I was looking on Google maps at something in Shoto and saw this. So cool. We went and filled up 2 jugs today, and the water tastes great. This is where I'm getting water now instead of the store.

We have been filling our jugs here for several years now. It's been a routine of my husband's with our dogs weekly. It's clean and worth the trip out almost every week. Thank you ❤

This is a secret of locals. It is on County Highway Q just north of Highway 310. This artesian well is on private property so be respectful of that. There is a sign on Highway Q that directs you to a road that takes you behind a building and next to a pond. This leads you to an ever flowing pipe with cool, pure water pouring forth. There is a donation box and the suggested donation is two bits (25 cents for those who don't know what bits are) a gallon. The water is tested on a regular basis. The water is clean and tasty. I drink it straight from the tap and I ain't dead yet. It is reputed to be good water for making fine beer. Not really an attraction; but an interesting phenomenon to see an artesian well in action. There is a bench next to the running water. Peaceful spot to sit in the shade and listen to moving water. If chlorinated and fluoridated city water is not your bag it would behoove you to come here with a couple of 5 gallon jugs
