Amelia's Café & Bakery

This was our second (and eventually third) stop at Amelia's for breakfast. The food was phenomenal, portions were VERY large, and the service was friendly. The "medium" pancake almost covered the dinner plate! One nice "extra" was having the syrup bottle arrive at the table warmed.

Wonderful Wisconsin Breakfast & Bakery just one block west of Gandy Dancer Bike & ATV trail. Well Worth the tasty stop.

Wonderful little place with a large lunch and all-hours breakfast menu which includes American style items as well as many Mexican style items. The service is fast and friendly, the coffee hot and delicious, and all three of us loved our breakfasts (Chorizo Plate, Eggs Benedict, and Huevos a la Mexicana).

Stopped in for brunch and it did not disappoint. The place was busy but we were greeted with a smile and told to sit anywhere. Server was quick to bring menus and drinks. We tried the hangover breakfast, a slice of French toast and the Burkett. Hangover was a huge plate with a few to many American fries but ample other things and topped with perfectly cooked eggs. French toast was thick, cooked well and served with warm syrup. Burkett was perfect size with a good mix of toppings, perfectly cooked egg and really good homemade sour dough toast.

Had to try the homemade bakery too. We got two cookies and peanut butter fudge to go. Fudge was creamy and yummy. The cookies were ok, I think $1.50 per cookie is a little pricey and wouldn't get again.

Amelia's is the best cafe in Wisconsin! We just got a camper in Du Fours campground and plan on stopping at Amelia's everyday we are here! The food is amazing and the portions are huge!

Amelia’s is a very special place. Amelia and her family provide delicious food made from scratch inspired by their Mexican-American heritage.

The restaurant itself is cute with spacious places to sit and half venue to rent out. The bakery items are freshly made too! Be sure to try their breads, cookies and fudge!!

Our favorites: Eggs with chorizo, pancakes, Acapulco burrito & BBQ (on special).

Lastly, she provides good quality merchandise for sale, we bought 3 crew neck hoodies to represent a family tradition.

If you are staying the weekend or just passing thru make Amelia’s restaurant a priority as her food is always made with love.

We love this lovely restaurant. This is our go-to place for breakfast in Danbury. Everything we have tried has been great and the employees are so nice! I love the 5 egg omelette with sausage or ham, my wife loves the any of the Mexican style breakfast options, and my kids love the plate size pancakes. The coffee is tasty too.

Stopped in for breakfast , was pleasantly surprised ! Ordered the Acapulco Breakfast Burrito , it was excellent !!!! And Huge !!!! They have a unique menu for the area and they also do a Mexican night every other Friday.

Absolutely amazing food! They definitely don't skimp on ingredients or quality. Some of the best food I've ever eaten!

We went to the 2023 inaugural Friday night Mexican Dinner. We got there at 1630 and there were people already waiting (2 others) for the opening at 1700.
There were about 12 tables for the first wave and by 1800 the wait was about 15 minutes for a table with maybe 6 folks in the waiting line out the door.
No disappointments with the services, chips and salsa on the tables and more (gratis) when it was gone. They have several authentic Mexican beers available and margaritas as well.
Menu is extensive considering this establishment is a bakery that normally closes at 1400 on their normal business days.
Food arrived in a timely manner and it was Awesome. Phenomenal. Outstanding. Exceeded my expectations. Will return for more.

Loved this place. My wife and I stopped in while we were out camping and had breakfast. Loved the food. Great selection of Mexican and American classics. We will definitely stop in again when we are in the area.

Amelia's opera voice is terrible, and her Russian folk dancing isn't much better. But her restaurant and husband's cooking is outstanding! Excellent variety, with some interesting fusion (Mexican/American) items on the menu. I just wish she was as good a dog groomer as her cooking. My dog went into hiding a month ago!

Absolutely fantastic place! I had the huevos con chorizo and my husband had the chorizo plate with eggs and toast. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was friendly and fast! We also got some homemade bread and fudge-several tasty varieties available. Definitely recommend!

First time here and was impressed the place was packed, but it didn’t take long for the food to show up. It was a good size portion, and it tasted great.

Great food and service. You will NOT leave hungry!!
