The Cancer Team at Bellin Health

I have been going to Dr. Motara bellin oncology since 2022. He’s the best doctor I’ve ever gone to that he tells you the truth and I trust going to him. I was sad to hear he is going to retire this year. I hope he enjoys his retirement!!!

Dr. Mortara is a very understanding, compassionate & great listener. When I began my journey with Dr. Mortara & his amazing team, I was upfront & I wanted him to do the same. Not beat around the bush. No sugar coating & be truthfully. And overall know my diagnoses, properly go through scans, give me all the information I need(ed) per treatment. And he has done that & more. I am not fortunate to have a Stage 0-3 diagnosis, I am Stage 4. And all the years that he has been my oncologist, he has made all efforts to get me on the right regimen & do the research to bring to me & allow me to know his thoughts & then allow me to be the advocate to my health that I am. He is the BEST! And I will be forever grateful for all that he(his team) has done, and continues to do, for myself & my family.

The first time I was there I was scared.but the nurses and Dr Pan were very patient and explained everything that they would be doing and I have been able to get the radiation therapy that I needed.i have two weeks left and I will be done.getting on and off the machine gets easier evey day.thank you to the people that are working there.😁👍👍

How does one rate a cancer center? Some doctors are nice, one in particular is an ass. Staff at front desk are great. Pleasant waiting room with good coffee.

Took my wife’s step dad yesterday with the terrible diagnosis of stage IV cancer. Not once did the oncologist seem concerned about how acutely ill the patient in front of him looked. The nurse we saw first cared more. We were barely able to get things schedule over the course of the next month with no plan for treatment for someone who may not have that long with the condition they are currently in. We stressed how concerned we were with the condition the patient in front of the doctor was and we were told “well you can take him to the ER if you want”. It is clear that Dr. Thasildar was annoyed with the patient he now had to “deal” with. No prognosis. No immediate urgency to take care of the patient.

We took our step dad to SSM St Agnes Hospital cancer team and were immediately direct admitted to the hospital to begin the first steps of treatment TODAY.

This is scary for folks that have to navigate through this health care system by themselves.

Don’t let Bellin Healths commercials, fancy signs and buildings, fool you. Get health care at a real community hospital that cares about their patients.
