Outlet Recreation Area

Very clean and nice. A few are pull through sites. No swimming allowed here

Outstanding!!!!! We have stayed at several Corps of Engineers campgrounds and this is definitely the best yet!!!!!
Quiet, peaceful, serene.... Nestled in a beautiful little valley on the banks of the Petit Jean River.
The babble of the river flowing over the rocks is so calming and wonderful.
(and about the only sound except birds singing)

The sites are well laid out and nicely spaced...not crammed together.

As always with Corps sites, cheap price for the site.... with water and electric included.
Shower house clean & well maintained - free HOT showers, a real blessing when camping.

Staff was friendly & welcoming & helpful.

Cannot say enough good stuff about the Outlet Campground at Blue Mountain Lake

Good fishing when the water in down. Some of the best views in the area. Blue mountain lake has always been a wonderful place to fish and camp. Or just go spend a relaxing afternoon and maybe have a picnic. Try and visit when you can it's a hidden gem.

Great campgrounds, clean restroom and showers. Had a really good time. And the fishing not to shabby either.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The park attendant was very nice and the bathrooms were clean. Well stay there again soon..

Great site. bathrooms what you would expect. Bathrooms always stocked with paper and hot water.Sites are very close to one another. That said, camper folks are the best, so it was not an issue. Fishing was hit or miss. I would recommend this area.

I've been coming here since I was a baby. It's very nice and quite. Plenty of wildlife and fishing.

This is a quiet place. You can camp and fish. Clean restroom/shower combos. If you take the first left turn you are on one side of the outlet but if you continue on you will find the overlook. This is so pretty. Continue on and you will find the other side of the patk.

Beautiful views. Great fishing. Lot's of camp sites. Sadly a drowning that weekend. Life vests and water-safety mindset, please!

Oh my goodness, where to start??? It's incredibly beautiful!!! Natural, the beach is very large, the sites have electricity, water, firerings and picnic tables. The majority of sites have covered picnic tables. The rangers are wonderful! The people in the fee booth where you check in and out are very friendly and helpful. This is an excellent place for families to have a memorable vacation! There are 2 launch ramps for boats. The fish usually caught are crappie, catfish and some bass. Blue Mountain Lake is beautiful. The Mountains have a bluish hue due to the eucalyptus and gum trees growing there. You will not be disappointed camping here! Waveland Campground is right beside it so plenty of sites. You make your own reservations at recreation.gov. There's an app you can download to make the process easier. Love it here!!!

Its terrible. Too much wildlife. Never go,, don't waste your time...That is what I want to say,, so you people will stay away and not ruin the place. Reality is We love staying here! Restrooms are kept, it is clean, and lots of space between most sites.

Very nice but Waveland by the lake much nicer....person on Friday morning who tried to level it out one of the RV sites.... definitely was trying to kill some hours... He tried to level 10x10 feet spot for about 8 hours went back 2 days later tractor was still there occupying first come first serve spot....

Great campground nestled in the mountains and along the dam. Great hospitality provided by Bob and The Missus. Electricity and water on sites with covered picnic tables. Very clean bathroom facilities and inexpensive nightly rate. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Very unique place the power of the water coming out of the spillway is incredible. I've seen some big fish come out of their.
One side is drive up and one side is reservable for the campground.
They even have some group camping sites on the reservable side.

The camp spits are very nice and well taken care of!! Lots of beautiful scenery here! You just can't go wrong out there!
